Sanford
Someone (Tito, I think) wanted to see a photo of elephant radiator cap of the Bugatti Royalle, generally thought to be the rarest car in the world ($5,000,000 +/-). There were at least 50 Bugattis at the Concours and many more being raced this weekend at Laguna Seca. Thank you President Bush for the tax cut that allows the super rich to restore and maintain these works of art.

Sanford
Bob - I still have to edit & scan but I will post some more later - I don't think I got any Porsches though.
chad_hahn
I don't think I got any Porsches though. I don't blame you. At events like that, cars that you would normally stop and drool over aren't worth a second glance because of cars like the Bugatti Royale. tito sobrinho
Thank you Sanford. This is the first time I saw an excellent close-up of the elephant. I think E.Bugatti was a circus fan. vic_.
One of the finest car collections was owned by Tom Monaghan, of Detroit, the founder of Domino's Pizza, and included a $10,000,000 Bugatti. He read the book, "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis, and it changed his life. He now spends all his time giving his money away to charitable causes. The car collection is long gone. This man is the true American dream.
Spearhead
I think this one could be a replica, although from where he lived, he could certainly afford the real thing.

Che, Copyright 2001 Jeff Spirer
Music and Portraits Blog: Life in Portugal

Sanford
Sandy - I didn't and would never pay the hundred bucks. I somehow managed to score a media pass.
