alex_pereda
I recently noticed a strange behaviour on my Olympus OM2-n. When I turn the camera to Auto and take a picture the shutter speed is slower that the speed indicated by the Viewfinder needle. If I take another shot then the shutter speed works fine. I replaced the batteries to no aval. Also in manual mode it works fine. Any ideas? Thansk in advanced. A.P.
konrad_beck1
Just to make sure: your observation is done _with_ a film in the camera? Otherwise, the automatic mode reads the reflection from the black film pressure plate and thus must be much longer due to the OTF function. fernando_gonzalez_gentile
Since it seems to be an intermitent problem (one shot is longer while the next one is o.k.) I suppose it may be a dirty or oily shutter speed magnet: easy to clean by a professional. Would it be a constant problem, I'd say it was a CdS meter needle maladjustment, also easy to repair by a pro. Been there... Good luck, Fernando
alex_pereda
Thanks for your responses. I bought a 50mm 1.8 lens, and when I use my old 50mm Macro 3.4 lens it seems to works fine. It begs the questions wheather the lens may be defective? I'll run some more tests tomorrow with other lenses I have and see if it is an issue with the new lens. a.p.
