immichelle
I am currently in the market to buy softboxes and was wondering if anyone has any feedback on either of these two products? I have a 2403CX blackline speedotron with 202VF strobes. Does the Elinchrom have a universal speedring or even a speedring that would fit the speedotron? I know that it is made to go with their brand of lights, but I am not going to get new lights just to go with a softbox! Will this type work? Also, I am highly interested in the Photex if the Octabank won't work. But,I would prefer feedback before sinking the money into such an expensive item. I am doing children's portraiture along with 3/4 shots of adults with children, head shots, and also full body shots of children. Thanks for your input, Michelle
_________1
The Elinchrom part is known as the Universal Bank Adapter available at B&H Photo for $62.95. Fits the Speedotron 202VF and the 206.
ellis_vener_photography
to use an automotive analogy
the Octabank is a mercedes: espensive but rugged. Yes they can be used with other lights.
Photek makes great umbrellas.
Have you looked at Chimera (http://www,chimeralighting.com) or Plume ( http://www.plumeltd.com )
