I just tested this film and Astia 100F for professional Photographer Magazine.<P>The

answer is: it depends on your meter, your camera & lens, your lab & your tastes.

Technically yes it is an ISO 100 film. But ISO ratings are based on measuring a gray

scale set of targets, and do not necessarily fully apply to color. outside on the very

controlled testing conditions, your individual rating for color films are subjective.

lighting conditions to can also be a factor. In contrasty light an E.I. setting of 80

might work better than the ISO setting of 100. In flat light, an E.I. of 100 might work

better.

In my experience, given my equipment and processing labs and tastes and general

shooting conditions, I tend to rate almost all of the ISO 100 E-6 films at an E.I. of 80

with normal lab processing times. The one exception I think I see is Astia 100F which

looks very good in studio conditions when rated at 100 -- but that of course depends

on how the subject is lit.
