steve_jensen1
I have a Agfa 8 x 10" camera that is part of a collection of large format cameras, lens and an enlarger (Omega 8 x 10) that was passed to me a departed frend 92. I hope that someone out there can look at the photos and tell me the age. I have sent a Email to Richard Knoppow to see if he can help. robert_cockrell
It looks like a afga-ansco univeral view, these were manufactured from 1926 to 1935. Great looking camera. Best Regards, Robert
merg_ross
This was my first 8x10 view camera in the 1950's. If you are interested in using it to make photographs you will not be disappointed. The front can be easily modified for tilt.
john_kasaian1
Steve, I can't provide a date, but I'll "second" Merg's observation that you've got a very usable camera. I've got the same model in 5x7 and it is a classic design with plenty of moves and locks down rock solid as well as being a thing of beauty itself. An interesting feature on the 5x7 and no doubt the 8x10 as well, is that you can reverse the position of the body on the extension rail. For micro work, you can run the front standard out to focus, or if you're using a wide lens you can reverse the camera on the rail so the front standard is run out and you focus by moving the rear standard backward(towards you) like a tailboard camera, so the rail isn't in the shot. Have fun!
