matthew_hoag
Who is a good source of Fidelity 11x14 film holders? What other makes are there that are good? I am using B&J camera. Many thanks! Matthew
donald_miller1
Sandy King is the person to talk to at S&S Holders. They are handled exclusively by Quality Camera in Atlanta. These are good holders at a reasonable price. Believe that they are patterned after the Korona design.
michael_kadillak13
I second Don's recommendation. I have both the 11x14 and the 12x20 S&S offerings from Quality Camera and they are first class worksmanship at a price that is affordable (in a relative sense). We are all very fortunate that S&S came along to fill the market gap left when Fidelity decided to exit stage left in 11x14 and the alternatives were custom products at custom prices. You will not be disappointed with S&S.
william_whitaker1
A third endorsement for S&S! My 11x14 holders came from Sandy and I'm quite pleased. Regards,
roger hein
Another thumbs up for S&S holders! They are an excellent product at a fair price. Save yourself the time and hassle looking for anything else - you can't do better than S&S. Cheers, Roger...
sandy_king
Thanks for the nice comments about the S&S holders. Just to explain who we are, the S&S stand for (Sandy) King and (Sam) Wang. We got involved in producing film holders primarily for our own use with ULF cameras, and for a few years sold what was left over from our production by word of mouth. About two years ago we begin marketing the holders thorough Quality Camera Company in Atlanta and they are at the present the only distriubutor of the S&S holders. We generally have stock on hand in most of the popular ULF sizes, including 11X14, 7X17, 8X20, and 12X20, but have also done custom jobs for a variety of other sizes, including 5X12, 7X11, 10X10, 14X17, 20X20 and 20X24. I can not say that every holder in every size we have sent out has been perfect and trouble-free, but I can say that if you have a problem with one of our holders we will fix it promptly. david_flockhart1
Try Lotus View Camera in Austria. They made 6 8x20 holders for me and they are beautiful. Great workmanship, totally functional and great overall quality.
michael_jones5
Don't forget Alan Brubaker (filmholders.com) crafts wooden holders in any size. For years he was the only source of obsure sized holders. Like Sandy and Sam's, they are "first class" in materials and craftmenship. Finally, don't forget that Fidelity still makes film holders for ULF; you just have to seek them from a medical supply house: they are x-ray film holders and are available in 11x14 with either aluminum or plastic slides. They run about about $350 new. Mike
