wolfgang_gressmann
What is your favourite combination of an OM and a Leica M for travel? I like OM-3 with 100mm/2.0 and a Leica M6 Classic with the 35mm/1.4. How do you combine the best of two worlds?
kenny_c.
Probably OM4t and OM2n and Zuiko 200/4, 100/2.8, 50/1.4, 35 shift (or 35mm Summicron Asph depends where I go), Zuiko 18/3.5, and 21mm Elmarit Asph on Hexar RF, and Leica 21mm finder. john_fleetwood
The main Leica (oops, Leitz) stays in the darkroom: a Valoy ll enlarger. The OM-2 and OM-1 backup travel with a 28/3.5, a 50/1.8, and a 100/2.8.
douglas_green1
Frankly, when travelling, I'd go with one or the other, but not both, as it makes little sense to me to duplicate the weight. If I went with OM, I'd take an OM-1n and an OM-4, a 75-150mm zuiko, a 50mm f1.4 zuiko, and a 28mm f2.8 zuiko If I were travelling with Leica type gear, I'd take my Minolta CLE, along with 90mm Rokkor, 40mm Rokkor, and 25mm Skopar lenses. depending on what I expected to see and shoot, I might also bring my Bessa-L body with 15mm Heliar. Note that technically, nothing is Leica, although it's all Leica compatible.
ant_nio_ferreira
Leica M6 and 35, OM with 21, 85 or 100, and you can add a 50 cron and a 28 zuiko and a 65-200, or a 180... it really depends on what you want to photograph... But IMO the Olympus are really the slr Leicas in philosophy!
nicholas_t.
I use a Valoy ll as well as John, and it is the most beautiful piece of photographic equipment I own. Close is the Pradix projector, but no Leica camera. I can't justify the added anxiety of carrying one around. I used to have one, and I worried day and night about it getting stolen. My OM1n is enough camera for me - perhaps one day... (a 50mm hexanon on an M3 would be nice...) wake up, woops must have drifted off.
