1. ll, Thank you for taking time to go through images and providing your helpful opinion. This is great relief to know that there is no issue with camera. I checked several images at various ISO and common observation is most images were slightly underexposed per histogram and noise was slight to high noise(depending on iso) present in shadows. As I am not pro photographer, I did not have any way to compare and hence your review was very helpful. This is lesson learned to always check histogram. Again as I shoot may be once in a month or even less, tend to forget this things. (difference between hobbyist and professional)
 2.
I recently upgraded to 5D Mark III. My expectation was extremely low noise compared to my previous body 40D. However it seems I am getting noise at even low ISO. HTP and Auto light optimizer is off. Original files were shot in RAW and converted to JPG at 100% in LR. Images were shot at ISO 100 and ISO 340.
Is there something wrong in my setting? OR there may be problem in camera.
https://app.box.com/s/ndzfn2epbz86ey0iybjg

 3.
Thank you all for your invaluable responses and pictures. Though I am not active participant on this forum, wonderful people like you have always helped me with my questions. Yesterday I visited local camera store and tried all lenses.
As most of you suggested, EF 85 1.8 was an easy decision and I got it.
EF 70-200 F2.8 IS was ruled out due to size and weight.
Among EF 70-200 F4L IS and EF 70-300L IS, I finally took EF 70-300L IS. It is little bit more weight in my camera bag and reduces some more weight on my wallet, but 100 mm extra focal length may give me some more flexibility especially because I do not like extenders. As all of my travel is with family, kids and friends, I like to have simple, minimum and quick set up.
Thank you for pointing out about wider lenses. I will certainly look into this may be little bit later. As some of you suggested, I have dropped idea about Macro as I realized that I only shoot it occasionally and this will be unnecessary expense and I would rather spend that money on wider lens.
Btw, 5D mark III seems a big change for me from my earlier 40D and I am starting to learn it.
On David's suggestion on software, I do shoot RAW, and have Lightroom 4. However, most of the time, due to time constraint I can only do quick exposure adjustment. I was unaware of DxO optics pro and just looked at internet and seems amazing companion with LR. I will definitely consider it.

 4.
I recently upgraded to Canon EOS Mark III + EF 24-105 f4L IS USM. My earlier equipment was EOS 40D + EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 IS USM + 50mm f1.8 + EF 70-300 f3.5-5.6 IS USM which I sold.
I am not professional and just hobbyist. In past I shoot everything when I travel like nature, portraits, family shots and even birds and even Macro. So do not have specific interest, just shoot everything interesting which come across.
With MIII, 24-105 f4L will be my walk around lens mounted most of the time. Now I need to buy other lenses for portraits and telephoto.
I am considering following options:
(1) EF 70-300mm f4-5.6L IS USM for telephoto ($1389) + EF100mm f2.8L Macro ($949) for portraits and Macro.
(2) EF 70-200 f2.8L IS USM ($2149) for portraits and telephoto. I will not get Macro in this case.
(3) EF 70-200 f4L IS USM ($1099) + EF100mm f2.8L Macro or EF 85mm f1.8 USM.
If I go for option 1, then I am also debating EF 85mm f1.8 USM vs EF100mm f2.8L Macro for portraits. Anybody have used both lenses and can tell me if there is significant difference in IQ/Bokeh in these two lenses. As you can see all options are coming to around $2000 which is my budget.
Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
