  1. Possibly they measure the total lightness/darkness of the signals coming from the pixels of the sensor.
  2. Jochen, Thank you for your input! I was hoping to get some good advice here, then selected camera brands and models accordingly. If you were in my situation, which equipment would you buy for this purpose?
  3. As an engineer performing tests of conveying machines I would like to shoot high quality videos to use in promotion. It would be great to set up 3 or 4 cameras, each focused on a different part of the machine. We lack extra people to man each of those cameras. What equipment is available that would allow starting and stopping all cameras from one control?
  4. I just thought of something. To photograph something as large as a whole page of a comic book you do not need a macro lens. You probably already own at least one lens that would work very well.
  5. I would experiment with the lenses you already have to determine what focal lengths provide pleasing perspectives and the lens-to-subject distances required. Then I would select a lens and copy stand.
