1. thnx for all the replys. i believe i remedied the problem. i formated the card as mentioned in earlier replys. i then put card in pc. pc then said no pixs to upload. wanted to put card with nothing on it to see if any pixs would reappear. nothing. if i have any further problems, i will return.
 2. this is no big deal to me, but i have been using for years a fujifilm 8 gb card. but as of late, i have noticed that images i have uploaded to pc then later delete from card, images still show up when i put card back into pc. what is causing this? i do have two pc's. one is a dell with windows 10 os. other pc is a telekin aka senior pc. i believe maybe the problem i am having is because at times i put my card into my telekin to load photos, sometimes i use the dell. i could try formatting card, but i dont think it will correct the problem. camera i am using is a canon eos t5 rebel. any help or you need more info, i will reply back. thnx
 3.
hello, its been a while since my last post. i would like to know what is a good lens to purchase for bird taking? i have a canon eos rebel t5. i prefer a lens that has manual focus, if lens has manual an af that is good as well. but from what i've seen alot of higher focal length zooms just have the push/pull focus. what is a good mimimum focal length? an at what high focal length does image begin to degrade in quality? i shoot all kinds of birds. thnx:)

 4.
posting again, going to try something different. i purchased a used canon eos d30 online while back, older camera uses the compact flash card which was the norm back then. can not upload pixs to pc, have had absolutely no luck with different cf card readers i purchased, so not purchasing any more. have several pc's, but would like to install the proper driver and i mean this literally to work with the canon eos d30. once again, no luck with card readers, also when i connect camera to pc using usb hub, pc says installing camera software, then after maybe 30 seconds says device not successfully installed, i believe that is because of this operating system i am using which is windows 7, what other reason could their be. i really do believe if i download the right driver for this camera then everything will be all right. finding proper downloads is a joke on internet, i personally have not downloaded anything for a number of yrs when it comes to software. if anyone can possibly know a link that will let me download the driver without being jerked around from page to page etc, would be much appreciated. if this fails, i am going direct with a telephone call to canon.

 5.
posted some questions several months back, recieved lots of responses...but no luck with trouble i'am having. a while back i purchased a used canon eos d30 that takes a compact flash card type 1 or 2. bought an inexpensive cf reader first time, did not work maybe because it was cheap in price. just recently purchased online a brand new usb 2.0 compact flash card reader/writer. minimum requirements for this reader is either windows 98 me 2000 xp. i have windows os 7. pc said to me that device installed successfully, i also see reader in my devices, but when i right click to browse files i get nothing, absolutely nothing. i am sure i doing everything right, then i could be wrong, item had no directions, so i just connected usb to device then usb on pc. any help would be very much appreciated. this is a real pain.

 6.
hello, back again, 2nd post. will make long story short. heres the deal, bought a canon eos digital d30, older camera say from around 2000. camera takes a earlier memory card known as the cf card or compact flash card. camera works fine, pixs are copyed to card no problem, but i had no way to upload them to my pc seeing that i have a card slot on pc but only for the sd card format, so went out bought a usb card reader that can read cf cards as well as about 55 others, but when i connect reader to usb on pc then put my cf card in the right place, nothing comes up. whats wrong? i dont know, please help an avid photographer, thnx

 7.
i recieved a 2gb card today, still a no go, have bent pins inside. have tried but no luck. i am just going to go with another camera or hold off. its impossible to right the pins back up. could have been my error by putting card in slot. in truth do not like this card format at all. i am more accustomed to the sd card, soooo much easier to put in and remove with no danger of doing any harm to card slot. but the cf format was the norm round 2000 only to be replaced by the sd card. thnx all for your responses. forums are great!

 8.
thnx for all the replys to my problem, i did buy online a 2gb cf card for the camera, waiting for it to arrive, i did look in the card slot and i noticed a possible bent pin, will this really be a problem? its possible i could have caused it, really dont know. ooooh boy the trials with electronics i tell you.

 9.
i am a newbie, just registered 9-13, so if i am in the wrong category for asking this question please forgive me, i am learning the site. question is i recently purchased off the internet a used canon eos d30 digital slr in veryyy good condition and was sold to me in working condition. i believe i may have a problem with the memory card that came with camera. here is the scenario, i have battery in camera, lens attached as well, an cf card in camera. turn camera on, the lcd panel flashes err 22, i can not use shutter, camera will not function. now with card out of camera, camera functions, menu everything shutter works can take picture. but one thing i have found out on this camera it has no internal memory, have to use card at all times. what could be the problem? i am not a stranger to cameras an photography, may return camera if problem persists. any help would be much appreciated. thanx:
