    Chamois in the Swiss Alps

Lovely shapes and animals. I get a sense that the snow will start sliding at any moment which gives some tension to the image. Congrats and well done.

    Before the storm

I apologize for my late comment. I do appreciate all of the kind words. I am not at photo.net often. Tech: Nikon D810 which has a fairly wide dynamic range capture. Lens Nikkor 20mm f1.8 I know for some HDR is a dirty word but this is a 3 image HDR 2 aperture stops apart for bracketing. When I use HDR, my mission is to have the process 'invisible' as much as possible. I use the auto-bracket feature with Continuous High Speed (CH) shutter setting which allows one press of the shutter to achieve just 3 shots captured. I moved the camera to the right to get a reading of the clouds and then re-adjusted the camera back to the position where I captured this scene. All the very best until the next time I visit photo.net.

    Illuminated!

Greetings. I check into photo.net once in a blue moon. I still have a few images here but most of my images were culled by Admin because I was over the new threshold. I recognized your church immediately and I really appreciate the latest ones. The foreground details, forms and clarity are very nice but not least of which is the variety of skies. Keep up the fabulous work. I am still in Quebec but I will pass some time in the Caribbean and Brazil - the latter for the first time. All the very best. I am mostly on facebook and Flickr these days but there you don't get critiques.
  4. Love the slow shutter speed effect. Amazing and beautiful capture.

    Simply Red

I am in accord with Larry Greenbaum as per his comment. The red berries stand out with a background that does not compete but compliments it. The only thing from an artistic perspective where there is no right or wrong, I would ask you to consider moving the berries from the central portion of the image. If after consideration you decide that it should remain in the center then I will still find this image beautiful, especially with the fog. All the very best,

    "Painted on Canvass"

Tatiana, Holger, Michael: thanks for stopping by this image. I am unsure if I am really back. I must have made a comment on one of Holger's images many moons ago and I received an email notification and I could not see the image so I decided to sign in and have a quick look. While I was here I decided to poke around and load one image. I left Photo.net before I understood the new system and I have found many of the 'old members' on facebook which we mostly use as a sharing of images rather than being a social network for people like me, Alf Bailey, Christal Steele, to name a few. I suspect that I would have to be paid member to have folks comment on my image and because I am happy where I am, a payment would be a hindrance for me. Thank you all for your constructive feedback. I had pre-visualized this image, applied the rule of thirds and personally liked the almost stained glass quality of the bokeh on the right side. I must come over and see what new images you have.
