2.
Has anybody purchased the Edelkrone Quick Release One?

I have a Nikon D750 , a Markins ballhead and a Sirui tripod - My question is would the Edelkrone Quick Release be an quick and easier option to use with with my gear?

Sue

 3. In Australia memory cards are much more expensive A 16 gig Extreeme pro Sandisk SD card is about $ 68 A 32 gig Extreeme pro Sandisk SD card is about $98 Sue
 4. I am interested to know what people pay for an example a 16 gig Sandisk SD memory card. In other parts of the world other than in Australia? Sue
 5. I always reformat my cards in the camera. All the cards are 16 gig The battery is usually almost empty prior to recharging. - this should not matter to create the issues I have at the moment. I have a Nikon D700 for 8 years plus and I never had card issues. Presently I will be only using one SD card at a time. My biggest concern that photos in these SD cards have been lost. Sue
 6. I am in Venice on a photo tour. I have set my SD cards to flow over from the first to the 2nd slot To the 2nd card when the first is full. there is no issue with this. However when I remove my battery to recharge the 2nd Sd card when nearly full jumped from 3 still left to be taken to the first card without indicating that the 2nd card is full. I noticed that it jumped back to the first card not from the beginning of the card but in the middle of the card. Again today there were 16 photos left to be taken on the 2nd card . when I changed my battery a similar occurance. card no 1 was shown as the next photo to be taken . I did not want to take chance again of this happening , so I now placed 2 new cards in the slots. hopefullyI have expressed the issue so people will understand what I am trying to explain. All the SD cards are formatted brand new cards Why is this happening? Sue
 7.
I have 2 questions
I am interested in using an app for my iPhone that will remotely trigger the shutter on the Nikon D750
1. Does the photo taken download to the iPhone? I am not interested in this only to take a shot to take a photo to my SD memory card on the camera?
2. If the Photo taken remains on the camera what App would you suggest that is good?
I do not want the Nikon App for the iPhone as it has very poor reviews.

thank you

Sue

 8. Thanks Oliver for your helpful response What is the best method to customise the Dof preview button? Sue
 9. I am slowly getting to know how the D750 works and your help is much appreciated I have customised FN button to the options below 1 Viewfinder virtual horizon, 2.My menu, 3.access to top of my menu 4. playback 5. Viewfinder grid display. My thoughts is that when I push the FN button in the bottom front of the camera these customised items as above would show either on top - control panel or back of camera - However, my thinking seems to be incorrect as they don't. ( though I do see the fn - virtual horizon information) on the back of the camera when I press the info button. Be grateful if you could explain what I should be doing in relation to adding and accessing functions within FN option. When I press the Fn button in front of the camera nothing comes up. I need to add that within the Controls Assign-f2 that the Press + command dials are off . Should this be on?. thank you Sue
 10.
It will be 2 sec to 30 sec and not longer

 11.
Thanks all for your responses.

I would be using the Nikon App to trigger the shutter button when taking long exposures only.

Have you any tips if you have used this method?

Sue

 12.
I have search everywhere on the net on a step by step how to set up the U 1 and U2 to save my settings I use often.

What I have found is what is can be saved to these modes for a quick access. Not a step by step.

I want to save Wi-fi setting
Manual settings
exposure compensation
Aperture settings that is often used
Shutter speed various
ISO settings
spot metering
Maxtrix metering
From what I can gather one does not have to go through the Menu settings on the camera to set this up.
So be grateful if somebody can explain in some detail.
thank you
Sue

 13.
I have downloaded the Nikon WMU App on my phone.
I am thinking of triggering my Nikon D750 shutter using the Wi-fi setup on my D750.
a couple of questions:
1. If I using back-button focussing will the D750 shutter still be abled to be triggered via the iPhone?
2. Does the wi-fi option set-up use my phone as a wi-fi hotspot (thus using data) or does the iPhone just becomes a trigger?
thank you
Sue

 14.
thanks everyone for your input - much appreciated. I shoot raw and I will use this option when I am taking photos in high glare conditions.
Thought I would provide a tip for some who maybe unaware of this option of easily accessing the ISO button which is in awkward position on the D750. The method I saw on a tube" Nikon D750 "Quick Tip - Button Assignment". This method is assigning the iso to the record button. Menu f9 - record button set to iso sensitivity.

Sue

 15.
Today I read about the joy of using the camera Highlight metering mode on the Nikon D750
However, no matter how much I searched I am unable to find out the steps to set this mode on the camera..
Be grateful for information from a Nikon D750 user.
thank you
Sue
