1. Thank you all for your helpful feedback! Perhaps over thinking it all, but needed some validation. a. You are 100% right about policing that, nor do I have time and frustration for doing so. b. The clients do receive either a download or flash drive without watermark anyway, so this is just another uphill battle! c. Word of mouth is great, but if at least my photo credit is given, then it is a click of the mouse advertising. Thanks again, I will keep the comments in mind!
 2. Hello I would like to pick your marketing brain about allow your wedding client share their images on social media while still maintaining your watermark/marketing. While I want the client to share the images online to enjoy with their family and friends, I want my name somewhere attached to the images shared. So far my only answer has been to apply a faint watermark across the image in the client gallery to which they could share some or all of the gallery. Some of the clients do not like the watermark across the image and would rather have a clean look. I am looking for help with this as I am just not sure what to do. Any comments/suggestions or what you have found to work would be great! Thank you, Nancy
 3. Perhaps I should clarify I'm a wedding photographer and my couple has asked me to provide them with a copy of my business insurance along with sending a copy to the venue. I'm going to check to see if there is a proof of insurance that I could provide rather than detailed information.
 4. Hello, My client has asked me to provide a copy of my business coverage to the vendor, but also a copy to himself. I raise an eyebrow! I do not have a problem providing this information to the venue directly, but I do not think this is necessary to provide to my client directly. I have never been asked by a client to provide them with a copy, so I am not sure if this is a good decision. Has anyone else provided a copy of coverage to their client?
 5.
I am wondering how everything worked out for you and what program(s) you found to be helpful. I am in the same predicament and looking for the best option. Also, I am wondering what card manufacturer you used that gave you the problem? I had been using SanDisk and Lexar for years and never had a problem. I purchased a camera store line and now have a problem within only a few months of use. Thank you!

 11.
Hello Dragos, Your work is very stunning and inspiring me to look for better compositions! I am somewhat new here, basically I have been a casual observer but starting delving into the site a littler deeper. I see your website is hosted by zenfolio as is mine. Do you have MPIX self-fulfill your printing services? Have you been happy with the results? Thank you and looking forward to seeing more of your work!

 12.
Thank you for this discussion! I am at the point myself where I believe I need someone to review my current contract and let me know some specifics. I don't have a lot of money, but would still like to do this correctly so looking in my PA area for something affordable. I am under a bit of a challenge recently from a potential client who wrote her own addendum's to my contract! Before accepting this, I would like someone to discuss it.
Also this bears mentioning, I own a copy of Best Business Practices Book by John Harrington, which is a must have for any photographer, and states he has both the bride and groom sign the contract because one can not enter the other in a legal contract before they are married! I had never even considered this. Most of my clientele is your average income, hard-working, day-to-day couple that just want good wedding photography without it costing them a ton so therefore, review and sign the contract without much reservation. I had started to forward the contract to make things simple for all parties but realizing this is becoming more problematic then helpful....not getting it back in time or the rewritten verbiage. Just not acceptable or good business practices. I agree business should be face to face and a handshake, but still would like some modern conveniences.
Nancy

 13.
Thank you all for your responses! I expressed a sense of urgency since I needed some immediate feedback. The bride met with me along with her two year old son and paid me in full on the spot only one month prior to the wedding. Since her son was not going to cooperate any longer, we had agreed to email the contract and she would return it in the mail right away. I had placed several calls/emails/text requesting to have it returned but with no response. I, naturally, had been flustered but knew I would be fine with what I have on file. I saved all emailed correspondence (as I do with all my clients) and placed in the couple's file. To clarify, I would have NEVER not shown up to photograph their wedding! They are a very young couple and mostly likely place no importance on contractual details. However, if they had been intentionally careless, which did not seem likely, I wanted to avoid possible consequences somehow leading towards my obligations were not met or a discrepancy on the package itself.
Also, the contract was indeed signed and somewhat legible, but really too small.
Thanks again for the tips!

 14.
Thank you David! I wouldn't withdraw but wondered about any possible ramifications should the couple "suggest" my obligations were not fulfilled. In light of that, I have a printed out version of her cell phone snapped contract so the signature and information is legible, but will have an additional copy handy. Thank you!
