    Back-lit Maple Leaves

On a walk through a part of Millcreek Park, Ohio I noticed these leaves catching the sunlight with the shadows proving a great background..

  2. Slavery is an ugly word. Most if not all nations have had to deal with it in some form. Some still do. In the 1860's the topic of slavery divided the United States. It even divided families to the point of a war. North versus the South. Family against fam

    Reload

During this re-enactment, the Confederates had 3 cannons to the Yankees one. I was within close range of the three cannons The cannon to the left of this one was larger and much louder but partially hidden by a tree. I liked this picture as the smoke hadn

    Blacksmithing

This was one of a very few artisans that were putting on exhibitions during the Civil War re-enactment. I decided to focus on the object he was working on since it was still glowing from being in the fire. It is interesting to watch them work the metal. I

    Basking in the Sun

My dear wife drove me around today looking for wildflowers growing along the roadways. These are wildflowers but they were planted by the owners of a local bed and breakfast

    Soft Focus Wildflowers

WIldflowers growing along a rural road. I took a fancy to this composition because of the blurred flowers in the background and softened the focus overall.

  7. My wife and I drove about 45 miles north to see if the leaves had changed any more than they have in our area. They hadn't. We found directions on the Internet for a waterfall called the Freedom Falls and headed for that. We never made it to the falls but

    Grande Finale

Another Saturday evening fireworks display put on by our neighbors, Irons Mill Farmstead. This time I got my tripod out and got much better results. Handheld is nice in a pinch, but you can't beat shots on a tripod.

  9. It is 3 years since the last threat when I ran into the same problem. My ColorMunki Display had been working fine when I had Windows 7 and Microsoft forced everyone to upgrade to Windows 10 Home when they stopped supporting Win 7. Years later I was having problems with my computer where I needed to uninstall and re-install Windows 10 Pro. After that, I needed to re-install ColorMunki Display and I kept getting a message that the device was not connected to the computer. When I clicked on the "Measure" button to measure ambient light an image would pop up briefly showing a disconnected USB connector. Even though when I plugged in and unplugged the USB connector Windows made the sound signifying that a device had been plugged into the computer. After reading and trying many other people's attempts to correct their problems they didn't work for me. This is what I did for it to work. I clicked on the Start Button> Settings> System> Display. On the right side panel, even though I have one monitor, I chose under multiple Displays "Extend these displays". I closed that window and I started the ColorMunki app. When I clicked on the Measure Button it worked!
