1. Hello! I'm after a little advice on my Rolleiflex 3.5A, the camera is in great condition and has worked well on several occasions, never really had any issues with it at all. I changed my medium format setup to a Fuji GF670 and didn't shoot with the Rollei for a while but long story short I missed the Rollei and have picked it back up again. I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong but after loading the camera, advancing correctly to frame 1, I take the shot and then it won't let me advance to frame 2. As far as I know I'm doing everything correctly, but I may be overlooking something or have forgotten something in the loading process. Does this ring any bells in anyone's head? Some more info: I'm able to shoot a double exposure on frame 01 if I reverse advance to crank the shutter, but still I cannot advance to frame 02. The advance mechanically seems fine without film in it, and overall everything seems to be OK, it doesn't feel like a mechanical jam or anything, simply that the camera isn't allowing me to advance after pressing the shutter. Any advice would be great!
 2.
Yeah, I saw that but it's not fully in my price range! It would be a great to have the full kit, though.

 3.
Yeah, Ffordes is always a good look, and I think I missed out on a good priced G2 by a few days.

 4.
Hey, guys.
Currently in the market for a Contax G2 (hopefully with a 45mm Planar). But I'm at a loss with where to pick one up in the UK. Does anyone have any tips

 5.
Hello there,
Just after clarity on something before I spend money in areas that I don't need to. I was given a good, working Jobo CPE-2 and the only thing it doesn't come with is a Jobo tank. The magnet is attached to the processor, however I am unsure if I need another magnet that will attach the tank to the processor.
Is the magnetic attraction built into the tanks or are they usually bought separately and attached to them?
Any help or pointers into the right direction would be great.

Simon

EDIT: This is the Jobo CPE2 without the lift attachment.

 6.
Hello!
So, a few weeks back I posted in 'digital mirrorless cameras' about my possible purchase of a Fuji Xpro-1. My questions were along the lines of "I'm a Leica M6/Film rangefinder guy. Will I REALLY get that same feel with any digital camera?".
A lot of you put some very valid points to me. I felt like I was already swinging towards the "no", and by the end I fully convinced myself to not bother with one.
Since then I felt fine about just investing more time and money into film gear, after all the M6 has only been a few months and one lens with me and I love it to bits. But then I spotted an R-D1 body for sale on eBay...
I always knew of the R-D1 but never looked into it much (having never invested too much time into digital camera research), but BOY! Was this what I was looking for in a digital (should I ever get one).
So, I got pretty invested in researching the camera and really love what it stands for. But what I was missing was any information from people who use this camera in 2015. There are the obvious reasons why: People who like digital are commonly interested in quality advantages, and with the 6.1 pixel sensor being largely outdated, it's no wonder it has been left behind. But there's a lot, like myself who are interested in the functionality that is natural when shooting film.
So 6.1 megapixels aside, the samples from the camera still make me excited. I'd still like to see some examples closer to my style of shooting (more contemporary street scenes - no people etc...), but you can't always get everything. But I can see how using this camera can be really fun for me.
So, does anyone have any experience with the Epson R-D1? Looking for opinions from anyone who's a film shooter and have used one of these. As well as anyone who still uses one.

EDIT: Oh, also, I won the body on eBay for a good price. I'll be getting the camera regardless and using it with a Zeiss ZM 50mm Planar - I'm aware of the sensor crop etc... And am considering a Voigt 35mm - but if anyone has any lens recommendations to use on this I'll be happy to hear them!

 7.
Hi!
I'm after a bit of advice after being tempted by the Fuji Xpro-1. I've been shooting My Leica M6 for a while now and before that, my Contax G1 and other various 35mm film rangefinders.
The Fuji Xpro-1 sparked my attention for the feel and manual looking control of a rangefinder camera. Maybe that's how they 'got' me, but I've been looking for a half decent digital that had the same feel as my film stuff for a while now.
My question is, using one of my 'M' mount lenses and the official converter, would I really be happy using this set up, and only this set up on the Fuji Xpro-1? Does anyone have any advice in this area? Would I just be frustrated trying to use my manual focus lens on this body? Would I only ever get the most out of it with an auto fuji lens?

Thanks in advance.
Simon

 8. Hello! So I'm taking the plunge into Leica with an M6. I have a great opportunity to purchase the Carl zeiss planar zm 50mm. Does anyone have experience with this lens? Do you like it? Also, I've noticed the official lens hood costs quite a penny. Does anyone know if I could simply fit a screw on standard hood (at the same filter size) to this lens?
 9.
Hi!

Just a quick one...
Does anyone happen to have any leads for someone selling the likes of Contac T2, Yashica T4, Contax TVS? I'm after similar for purchase very soon and eBay is currently being no good to me.
If there's anyone on the forums selling then please point them here! (Sorry if this kind of post shouldn't be in this forum, I couldn't find anywhere to request this information)

Thanks!

 10.
Hi!
So, I carry my G1 with me everywhere, and during a shoot yesterday it was time to change film. When it came to taking the film out of the back, I noticed that my little black lever to pop the back out was missing!! I have no idea when it popped out or how it managed to, but it has.

I had a rather embarrassing time trying to get the back to pop out and worried at one point thinking it was trapped. I bought some tweezers from a nearby shop and managed to twist the little metal bit to get it to open. Though it worked, I don't really want to be doing this for the rest of my nice camera's life!

Does anyone happen to know where I might find a spare piece for this? Nothing has snapped off, it appears that it would be a screw in part. Here's a picture of the missing part next to another G1 body:

 11.

Can anyone identify this camera from this awful photograph? Better yet, the lens? Any guesses?

 12.
Hey, guys! I hope I'm posting this in the correct section. If I'm not then please point me in the right direction. So, a few days back I decided to test out my Contax g1 with the 45mm planar. All the labs were shut so I developed my first c41 in a rollei digibase kit. The results came out OK, but rather dirty as expected for my first time. One thing that struck me though, was the fact that a lot of the pictures day did come out appeared out of focus. I wasn't very experimental in my practice and a large portion of the photos that were out of focus were very well taken on my behalf and I understand contax's AF system so I don't feel like it was a skill set problem.
To make sure, I took the camera out today and took some careful photos in all different apertures. I had the photos scanned by a lab and have just had them back. The photos again, are out of focus. The ones shot on f2 are understandably the worst. Often the subject T is missed slightly and the result is very soft.
From some research I learnt about a problem called 'back fosusing' where the mirror and lens is slightly off causing a miss of focus. Could this be my problem? I have read up on the g1 and where some people have complained about the G1's focusing, others praise it and claim they've never missed with a careful eye. Let me illiterate here, I was very careful with my shots! I am a decent photographer and understand my shot. :)
Could this be a problem with my lens or is it a body thing? Both lens and body are new to me.
Here's a few that I carefully took on the roll today, most of which are focused centrally and with decent lighting. A few of these were f2, and some f2.8, f4.
This, the camera should have been in focus for certain - you can see that the camera has picked up the rim of my glasses and my shirt. However the camera was focused. There are actually two shots of this photo that I took to make sure. Both turned out the same:

These, no sharpness at all, despite it being well lit, on f4 held very steadily. When I took the photos I remember the shutter speed being fast:

This one I made CERTAIN that I focused and shot it correctly, as I thought it was a good subject (f2), it looks like it has been missed by the camera's focus:

And this, f2, looks like it slightly missed focus. No real sharpness:

This one, again, misses focus and you can see just around the post box where it has actually picked up and is sharp. But the actual subject isnt in focus:
If you wish to see the photos in full then right click them, copy the image URL and paste it into a browser.
The reason I think this is an actual problem with the camera is that I've been shooting similar cameras for a while now with total confidence. I've shot two rolls on this and have been confident with my tests, but the results just weren't good at all. There has to be something wrong! I understand the G1's focusing system, also.
If this is 'back focusing', do you think it's a body problem or a lens thing?
Any help would be super!

 13.
Thanks for the replies. Robin, I do believe they're scanned property as my concern originally was that my home developed ones were blurred, also. I just checked the negative and it does seem that they're unsharp on them, also!

Stephen, thanks for the reply! If you drag and drop my photos on here (or right click and copy the image url) and put that into a browser then you should be able to see my photos in a larger resolution. I understand what you're saying, however my tests on focusing on these objects were so carefully done that the results should have not been like this. For example, the one of the missing car poster on the railings and the one of the post box were dead center focused. There is no way I missed.
Likewise with the camera middle one. You mention that my glasses (and I see my shirt) are in focus. And this is what makes me believe it might be back focusing problem. It seems like my subject each time has been missed and on f2, sharpness is always slightly behind me.
I'm very sure it's not a problem with how I'm taking the photos because it couldn't possibly be this hard to get a focused shot with such a camera. I'm able to get great results from much, much, much worse cameras!! What I'm saying is I need to rely on this camera and not worry that every time I take a shot, it's hit or miss with focusing (in this example, it's almost always miss even when I'm dead certain I got the shot)
If it is back focusing, would that be a problem with my G1 and not the lens?
.

 14.
The battery couldn't be responsible for anything like this could it?
