  1. I have a client that I had photographed her lookbook for her in which she has signed my contract and paid the deposit fee. A day after the due date of the invoice I had messaged her of the status of the invoice. She replied saying one of her clients hasn't paid her so she can't yet pay me. She also said that she would pay half the first week and the second half the second week. As I thought I'd be lenient i agreed. However after the first week, I had not recieved anything so i messaged her and yet no reply and left on seen. The second week came around and still no payment and again, left on seen. It's now been 19 days since the due date of the invoice and I'd love to know your thoughts on what to do in this situation. I'm based in Australia.
  2. I have a client that is negotiating rates that want to receive copyright (and not pay a fee so I've agreed to giving them unlimited image usage however they now want to have a copy right collaboration agreement), receive all the raw images after the photoshoot on the day. Not only this I have discounted my shoot time rate by 10% for them, as it is apparently well beyond their budget and now they don't want to pay for the images but still receive them. I'm not the best person putting into words how to politely say no to this job. Any advice on what's the best way to go about this and how to say no?
  3. Yeah I'm a little off hearing they want to receive all the images on a hard drive at first especially when I've given my price list to them for what I'd charge for image. We haven't signed any contracts as we're still in the consultation stage. However, this business seems to want to make it to fashion weeks, and around the globe. They haven't discussed any prices for the copyright, however, would you have any knowledge of what I'd charge around? I'm a little lost atm.
  4. I have a new client that is wanting to own copyright over a commercial photo shoot for her new brand of high-end bags and accessories. I don't like giving away the copyright to my clients and unsure of what I should be charging for this? She also wants to receive ALL the images straight after the photo shoot onto her hard drive. (I usually upload to Pixieset for my clients to make a selection and then them to purchase the images singularly) Help..?
