  1. I find the Marumi DHG line of filters to be every bit as high in optical and construction quality as my high end B+W filters.
  2. B+W did/does make aluminum housed filters for the Asian market. Two B+W representatives have confirmed this to me.
  3. it is a pre-AI that I modified to AI. Works beautifully on the DSLR’s. Thanks Russ
  4. Yes it is an AI lens. I AI’d it myself. But you are correct, in seeing that it was originally a pre-AI lens. It’s the first edition of the classic 105 f/2.5 lenses.
  5. I have been using the HN-2 (made for the 28mm lens) on my 24mm f/2.8 prime, and I am getting no vignetting. It seems to be fine on a 24mm lens.
  6. Hello When I screw an older AI lens onto my D70 and D780, will the camera automatically default to center-weighted metering? No more matrix metering? Thank you Russ Thank you Russ
  7. Shot on Delta 400 film with Nikkor 35 f/2 glass.
  8. I like it. I prefer the higher contrast version.
  9. Makes sense. I AI’d my two pre-AI lenses. 35 O f/2 and the 105 f/2.5 lenses.
  10. That makes sense. Eyeglass wearers love the HP finder. I have another F3 on the way. It has the HP finder on it.
  11. I too, prefer the non-HP finder.
  12. Nikkor 35 f/2 glass on XP-2 film.

  14. I recently picked up a “minty” condition F3. I’ve only burned half a dozen rolls through it. My initial observation is that it is VERY well designed and made. I am expecting it to outlast me.
  15. I have both the Kiron and the Komine model. I prefer the Komine.
