  1. Problem solved, I had to change the metering from matrix to either center weighted or spot metering in order to use the AI lens. Works perfectly now!
  2. I use the aperture ring to set it. And if I am remembering correctly, I used the AI lens to shoot with this camera before with no issues. The manual tells me that the AI is compatible with the N70, and that all I need to do is select manual and it work. Oh well.

  5. So, I took my N70 out to shoot some pictures the other day and discovered that it refused to fire in Manual mode with my Nikkor AI 50mm lens. I've tried it with a Nikon AF D lens in both AF and M mode and it works perfectly. At this point my solution is to just use the AF lenses exclusively, but I really like the pictures I get from the old AI lenses and the N70. I've also tried the AI lenses on my N90s with absolutely no issues. Anyone got any ideas?
