  1. Hello. The ISO is 100. The thing is, i have a NIkon f2 Dp-1 system and, in the same spot, where the nikon says (at. 125 shutter speed) 5.6 or even 8, the A1 says 1.4, and 1.4 blinking (which means it should be even lower). So, theres clearly something wrong, right?
  2. Hello guys. Im back. So, i shot another roll and send it to another lab. No black stripes! But Some of the photos have light leak, and some dont. how to explain that?
  3. Hello friends, I bought a Canon A1 some time ago and been shooting with it for a while, using sunny 16 technique because I didn't trusted the lightmeter. I would like to hear from you whats probably causing this anomally. Indoors, even with light, pointing directly at a lamp, the fstop meter is no more than 8, maybe 11. Usually, outside the house, on a sunny day, at a speed of 1/500, the camera tells me to always shoot from 2 to 5.6. It turns out that the first time I tested a film with her, I followed her advice and ended up with an entire film overexposed. So, you see, it seems a little off. Didn't tried, although, shooting a film setting it up to P in shutter priority to test the "balance" proposed by the meter. what can be causing this? already tried new battery.

  5. Hello friends, I got a nikon f2 (dp-1) for a low price (180 bucks), together with a Nikkor Ai-S 50mm 1.4 lens. Everything fine with the camera. my question is: how does the Ai-S system work on F2? On the light measurement system, I saw that it is not LED but by needle. What is the proper way to use this form of measurement? How do I know that the conditions for the photo are good?
  6. thanks for the reply. I simple take a picutre of the film, had to hold it with my hands (?). starting with film because I have no rush or huge desire of master photography in all its aspects, and i'm learning more everyday, with the correct help. but appreciated for the advices.
  7. Where I live its really expensive, no matter if its analogic camera or digital. In fact, most digital cameras here are expensive. I paid almost 160 bucks on this camera with flash and another 70-210 lens. But thanks for the first reply. Doing my second film this week.
  8. Thanks guys. I've seen those videos but i guess the problem is in the internal glass so i'd have to open it up, which its not the case right now. Back to the main problem, i'd like to read more opinions! Thanks!
  9. Going a little off the main topic but: seeing it now with flash (oh god what have I done) its visible that's kinda dirty at some points. But one thing triggers me in particular: the viewfinder has little fungus in it. Is there a way to clean it on the inside? i've searched on web but there's no video or article explaining how to open it for cleaning porpuses.
  10. I took a couple of shots of the curtain and the lens opened at -20 shutter speed. it seems in fact that theres a little fungus but no holes or something that could cause light leak.
  11. Hi, thanks for the reply. So, if its a scanning problem they shouldn't have appeared in the negatives, right? because they do appear there... And no, they're 09/2020 films. The lens were in fact a little hazed and i've cleaned them a few days ago. I've shooted a new roll but can't develop it right now due to the Covid-19 situation. So, im waiting to develop -- in a different place -- the new roll and see if its a dev/scan problem, so i can dischart this and go find others explanations. My worry is that its a mechanical issue.
  12. Hi guys, Im new in photography in general and decided to start taking some photos finally. To do so, i bought a Canon A1 w fd 50mm 1.8 l, aparently working well. So there I went, full of energy and joy, take my first pictures with that beauty. I developed my first film and searched for the results last week. I would like you to help me with someissues that are worrying me, if possible: - The main problem, the constant black stripes or lines in all the photos: mechanical problem, or what? If it is mechanical, as I think, what would it be? - Very white/overexposed photos: so, basically, ALL the photos went overexposed. Strange, because i took All of them in 1/60-1/500 shutter speed and 5.6-9fstop. Some of them fully automated too. Light leak, light measure problem, user error, what could it be? - Very shaky photos at night: what is the explanation? I was in a super fixed position. I used low speed 1/10, 1/1 and max aperture. The photos are below: Black stripes problem + overexposure problem: A010590-R1-17-19 ADA70660-52-F0-456-F-94-E3-2042-AD11092-F 66-E217-DF-1162-4713-8736-7-B33-A492-C248 93-CB2391-B171-4548-B370-36-B8-B3202-D15 Thank you for your great help now and for your patience!
