1. Glen curls, thnks...another item I had not planned on....and, as noted, ortho....re inpection process....all good to prepare for.....
2. Glen, I had planned to use my old Paterson stutf and a bag to load each reel...plan to do one roll per,,,,Diafine, stuff in a can??? Might have some of that or its siblings...orange can/?
3. first Thank-you...So y'all know, right after I posted, I took a flyer and injured me back muscles...and recovered a bit,so why not here quicker....am older dodger. All of film is BW Kodak and would have to locate bag to verifty tyoes,,,no color,,,Mom was a shooter.procrasstinator and dark room fiend,,,,so expect some blown images' My great concern is using wrong chem and burning away images,...I expect some losses, however, have 76 and 110 and maybe some others,,,do not know,,,stiopped film work say 10 trs back as hands were so messed,,,'
4. First, I must admit to forgetting about this venue...duh on me As I have a number of rolls of undeveloped but exposed film...this film varies from 620 and 120 format. Age of some rolls is from 1930s - very old, No clue as to subjects. True BAck in the day," stuff...am so clueless. I have kept the film is a cool place, since it came into my possession, but assume it was kept in a desk drawer...Mother took the pics, I think...When she passed I was given the rolls to develop and keep...I have feared development, and set aside. even though common sense tells me to give it s go...why not???? So, will accept any advice...on processing...am assuming Mom shot these with box or folding Kocaks (that old) and her prized Korelle. Need advice on developer, temps, etc, Thanks.
5. Correct. P = "Penta" have no clue where I got the idea re "Q, likely read something wrong...mea culpa.
6. I know this is older thread, but for those looking for information... FWIW, I believe the "Q" on this lens 135mm barrel means "5" elements.
7. I am old BW shooter. Mostly 35. Have trove of various medium format exposed film from parent, from 1940s and 50s, mostly in 120, some 620, Was kept in drawer by procrastinating parent, Shot mostly in Korelle camera and maybe film pack on back of 4x5 Graflex, May have couple rolls of oddball size from 30s/40s. Guessing the the film was exposed at standard ASA (ISO) designations. I think it is all Kodak film. Am thinking I should use a mild sort of devleper, but maybe not. For all I know film is shot. But, have to do it.... Been doing digital for some time and plan to devlop the film and if decent, scan and run prints. Any suggestions as to developer, etc from anyone. I must bow to the experience here. I have read the theads and am impressed with the experience.
8.
Don DiNaro +1...Konica Pearl with 3.5 or 4.5 Hexar is splendid and small. The Mamiya-6 old folder is, like Pearl, far underrated and, IMHO, both equal or outperform the Zeiss/Certo cameras in many aspects. As to being worth current prices, up to you, but these machines are very well made and perform admirably.
