My FM and MD-12

Well Michael, I happen to agree with you. Again how a camera feels, it's weight and balance, are very much a personal thing. I have been so busy lately but I did have a chance to take the FM out for a little bit. It feels just fine to me with the MD-12 on it...

Mike :D

    My FM and MD-12

Yep, to grip or not to grip... It is definitely a matter of personal choice. I just like the feel of a grip on my cameras. It is kind of funny though that some of you have had difficulties in mating these motor drives with some cameras and not others. Just the nature of the beast I guess...
Mike :D

    My FM and MD-12

Hello all! I recently acquired a Nikon FM from a local thrift store. Being such a small camera and as I have large hands and long fingers, I purchased a Nikon MD-12.

I was having a dickens of a time getting the MD-12 to work when mounted on the camera. I read many different posts on the internet about recalcitrant MD-11 and MD-12 motor winders discussing everything from "out of sequence" to just plain DOA. I finally went to the "mir" website and looked at the MD-12 manual.

Imagine my embarrassment when I found all I had to do was to turn what I thought was only a shutter lock from the "black indicator"...

To the "red indicator"...

Problem solved

Mike :D

  5.
Happy Nikon Wednesday everyone! As usual, you all never cease to amaze me with your contributions. I decided to exercise my F100 so my humble film submissions follow.
Film used was Kodak 400TX, processing was with Diafine, negs scanned and post-processed in Lightroom 5

Mike :D

  8.
Good Nikon Wednesday to you all! Nothing really slinking past my lens recently so I decided to post some film shots. All pictures taken with my Nikon F90X and negs scanned into Lightroom for a little digital processing. 9.
Great pictures all! I can see a trend towards Spring in these pictures, wish it was trending here.. 12.
Great pictures from everyone! I am happy to see some more film examples this time around. No "housekeeping" to speak of but, I will continue with some more film examples. Film was souped in Caffenol STD recipe @ 4 min 30 sec and the negatives were scanned and corrections made in Lightroom 5

Nikon F90X, Reflex-Nikkor C 500mm f8 mirror lens, Kodak TX400 @ 400 ISO

Nikon F90X, AF Nikkor 55 -300mm f4.5-5.6 G @ 300mm, Kodak TX400 @ 400 ISO

Nikon F90X, AF Nikkor 55 -300mm f4.5-5.6 G @ 300mm, Kodak TX400 @ 400 ISO

Mike :D

  13.
Haven't got my film scanned yet so I'll share some pictures from my D7100. 14.
"No, you always had full frame - see that K1000 in your closet?"

Yes. it is true... :D Nice image...!

Mike :D

  15.
Thanks Patrick! I love my D7100 but I just can't let go of film. The really nice thing I've found out about the Nikon platform is that it is very backwards compatible for their lenses, without having to use adapters.

Mike :D
