  1. The finder FN slides onto the camera body really smoothly and clicks into place with no force and no sloppy movement. It lines up perfectly flush at the front and sides and focusing with the B screen it came with appears to be ok. Just a small gap at the back under the eye piece. time to shop around and find the right piece just to compare.. Thanks everyone for your help
  2. Hi Guys, just chasing after a little info, as it has been nearly 30 yrs since owning/driving a New f1. I Just picked up a 1971 (first version) F1, However it has the eye level finder FN sitting on top, and i was under the impression that the finders on the F1 and F1n where not interchangeable with the New F1 finders. It even had the slot on the side of the finder FN so u can see the meter in the camera body. So i guess what i'm asking, is there any advantage to trying to find an original finder for the camera or keep the FN. It has the hot shoe but the connections for the flash obviously don't connect anywhere.
  3. acinos you are correct... Just checked my F-1 (L - 1971) goes to 1600 plus an extra green dot. which does move the meter
  4. lets not forget: for hands on id (mainly for the first 2 versions) Canon F1 - 1600 iso Canon F1n - 3200 iso Canon New F1 - 6400 iso
