  1. Thanks to everyone for the replies. They are most informative and useful. I guess in short, I can use the Metz on the F3HP without problems. I do have other Nikon Speedlights but I was intrigued by the claim that Metz has better colors and effects. I think I will shoot a roll of film to see if I see any differences.
  2. On line sources say that the Metz 32CT3 has triggering voltage of 22v but I measure it to be 12.9v. Wonder if it is safe to use on my F3HP. Don't want to fry any electronics in the camera. Anyone has experience with this combination? I was told the Metz has better effect and color than the Nikon SB16 which has lower triggering voltage.
  3. Thanks 2Oceans. I will take a look at my D750 and D500. The funny part is with the drop in filter out, the beep is loud and clear. It must be the weather sealing that almost completely block of the sound. But again, it could be what it is meant to be. But just the beep with the filter on is barely audible that I wonder if it is normal.
  4. Thanks Mike: You may be right about "tired beeper". But I need to know if it is an issue so that I could consider sending it in for repair. Unfortunately this is not a lens normally stocked by the local camera stores and I could not go there for a look. I do find the feature useful in AF memory setting. So if there is any owners of the lens on the forum, I appreciate he/she could check its focus memory setting and drop me a reply. Thanks a million.
  5. It is a feature of the lens for AF memory setting and recall.
  6. Had this lens for a few years but didn't use it much. Just noticed that the 'beep' sound from setting/recalling AF memory on this lens is quite weak, barely audible. Wondering if this is normal. The beep is very audible if I remove the drop-in 52mm filter, but again the filter is supposed to be in all the time. The lens has a switch to turn off the beep so I wonder if it should be stronger and something is wrong. Any one has the same experience? Any information greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  7. Yes, I have used Sover Wong's service recently. I must say his service and repair work is excellent. My F2AS came back in top notch condition. I highly recommended his service if you have an F2 need fixing. He serviced my jammed F2 and DP12. I understand that he is getting very busy now and expected wait time is 7 or more weeks. Check his website for the long list of satisfied customers.
  8. <p>Thanks Kayam:<br> I will give Greg a call.<br> Raymond</p>
  9. <p>Thanks for the update, Kayam. I was just about to send him 2 Konicas for repair. Sorry to hear about his injury. Nothing serious I hope. Any idea when he will be back to full function again?</p>
  10. <p>Hi Andrew. I find your video really useful. I will go over it again in details. There is so much there I didn't know.<br> I also bought the i1 Display Pro and will be working with it as soon as I get home. Thank you so much for sharing the information.</p> <p>Raymond</p>
  11. <p>Thanks Andrew. This is very helpful. I need 5500K because that is recommended setting from the lab I use to print my photos. I will get the i1 Display Pro. The link you gave shows that it is clearly better. Thanks again.</p>
  12. <p>I have been using Spyder3pro with Windows 10 and I need to calibrate my monitors to gamma 2.0 and 5500K. <br> Spyder3pro gives only 5000 or 5800 or 6500 K. So I selected 5800K, being closest to 5500K. It seems to give overly red colour. I have searched for previous posts and updated my drivers as suggested, but the color still doesn't look right.<br> I was wondering if Spyder5pro would have the 5500K option and runs better on Windows 10.<br> Or should I get i1 Display Pro by Xrite. Is this better than Spyder5pro?<br> Any information greatly appreciated.<br> Thanks in advance. Raymond.</p>
  13. <p>Thanks Bill for the reply. I will certainly try your method. I have the V600 for a few years now, nothing I tried came even close to your results. I have got the ANG insert for the Epson carrier. Maybe I will try the Better Scanning. I will retire in a few months. More time definitely helps. <br> I am in Canada. Are you sure being in Hawaii has nothing to do with scanning results? LOL.</p>
  14. <p>Bill:<br> Your V600 scans are always so nice. Just wonder what settings you used. Any special accessories or techniques you can share?<br> Thanks in advance. Raymond.</p>
  15. <p>Thanks Eric and Jeff for the quick reply.<br> Yes, I have both CS5 and CC on the same computer. No problems there.<br> With the new computer, I will probably have only CC on it.<br> I didn't know it is cross platform and I am allowed 2 computers. <br> So I can in fact have CC on a Windows machine and on a Mac at the same time?<br> That is great! </p> <p> </p>
