1. Can anybody recommend someone based in the UK who can service/repair a vest pocket kodak special, specifically a Compur shutter and the shutter release?
 2.
Many thanks to all who posted a response to my query. Some invaluable info and tips.

 3.
I have purchased a couple of rolls of Rerapan 100 ASA 127 film to try in my VPK. The film has a backing paper but not sure if there is any carbon tissue between the film and the backing paper as there was in the original 127 film for this camera. Does anyone know if the autographic feature can be used with this Rerapan film? I would hate to have a try and ruin an expensive roll of film.
Also, I have read on the net that when using this film it is advisable to tape over the red window on the back of the camera when not winding the film. Does anyone have any experience of this? If this is right then presumably it is also not advisable to try to open the flap and use the autographic feature.
I own an example of a WW1 photo taken where the autographic feature was used and would love to take a modern day photo with my VPK and use that feature so that the images can be compared in an article I am writing for the magazine of The Machine Gun Corps Old Comrades Association. But is it possible?

 4.
Thanks guys for your advice. After trying a few local jewellers, watchmakers and silversmith's who basically were either not interested in helping or didn't have a workshop, I invested £11 in a tiny 3 inch hand drilling/riveting tool on eBay that looked as though it may do the job. It was made for jewellery making but I thought I would give it a try. After removing the screws from the front plate (thanks Rick), I managed to get the tool in place and used it to re-flare the original semi tubular rivets. The ends of the struts are now secured in place. It probably won't stand up to any rough treatment but so long as I am careful when using it the repair should hold for some time to come. I have included a picture of the tool should anyone be interested in this solution.

 5.
I have recently acquired a Vest Pocket Kodak Autograph Special (Morocco leather) in very good condition apart from two of the struts keep coming detached from the lens plate end of the camera when the bellows are extended. It would appear that the flange on the rivets holding the end of those struts has become worn, allowing the end of the strut to pop off it. Does anyone have any tips on repairing this sufficient to allow the extending of the bellows (with care) without the end of the strut continually becoming detached from the lens plate? Obviously any repair needs to keep the strut able to flex.
Also, I have read that the circular plate on the back of the camera will come off by turning it anti-clockwise, allowing access to the back of the shutter. Mine will turn, but only about 30 degrees and the plate does not want to come off easily. I am reluctant to use any force for fear of damaging it.
