  1. The extra film size would be most welcome. 'Not clear is if each roll of 120 needed a trip to the lathe. Rick, you're tearing them up w/ that Mami glass & your fine processing.
  2. Just a couple from the last roll of PanF before losing the winder. Cedar Creek and the Grist Mill. f11 for the mill, f`16 for the creek - 'bout 1/4s, 3s respectively.
  3. Mike G - Hermione in the window is sweet. I'm not really a cat lover, but love the image and sometimes a rare feline. I've been in desperate need of some tone porn. Rick delivers like clockwork. :) 'Don't know if its just my eyes, but I don't see Kentmere look this rich from others. You also do Acros wonderfully & I gave up on it. JamesB - Mill shots are nice. 'Love the low cam position on the first one. The toy soldier statue delivered the goods w/ that Nikon. Nicely done, Erko. Marcel - wonderful composition on the cruiseliner & Cafe Rotterdam. Bertliang - what's up w/ the chain link fences? Each time you shoot them, they give all the goodies we'd expect from LF. Sharp, clear, depth of texture & tone. You make them look good. 'Very cool - being able to keep using the Bantam w/ 35mm, Greg.
  4. Mike, the pastoral scenes are lovely. Erko, being a devout metal-head, I love the shots of the old iron. 'Sweet looking ride - the FZR, Rick VN m42 - 'Makes me wonder if the Fuji 100 has a more tame color palette than the 400 print or velvia offerings. Colors look closer to what I'd see in the wild. 'Looks good. bertL - bannister & pond shots are wonderful. Bannister tones & range are delicious. BradC - killer portrait of the strawberry seller. 'Just wonderful. Fabulous vintage, Donald. Nice still life of the tea pot, Escuta. Rick D - Before the name of the poster scrolled into view, I knew it was your work. The tones & clarity just jump out, compared to most. Beautiful work. KEH finally got a part in that got knocked off the 'blad in a minor fall. 'Got it on order today, hoping nothing else was damaged in the fall. 'Hope each of you has a terrific wkend. 'Sure enjoying the work so far.
  5. Gents, thank You! I'll have to note that Vivitar & Tamron & mount a search. I actually chose the Quantaray over the hallowed Nikkor after shooting a short roll - 1/2 w/ each lens. It was that the quantaray was more value - it gave better clarity. That short zoom range has been very useful for walking around the town.
  6. Bradlley, that shot of the mongolian girl is superb. Rick, thank you. 'Don't know if you've tried other short zooms, but I'm underwhelmed by my 28-70 3.5-4.5. It won't hold a candle to my cheap Quantaray 70-200. Something crisp in the 24-80mm range would be handy. If you know of any winners there, pls. let me know. I'm using an old Fe2.
  7. All blad & HP5 'Can't fit this bandsaw in my garage. :(
  8. Really nice breezeway shot, Mike, Kent - 'looks like a huge, beefy whippet. 'Handsome beast well captured. James, morning fog is lovely, and you didn't miss a tone on MSU. Erko - dang. I would have guessed the Fuji, but you took no prisoners w/ that Canon. 'First two are killer. M42Dave - These are interesting - espec. the first. I stopped using Fuji w/out a polarizer 'cause the palette was too harsh (saturation) for me. The blue door & windowframe in the 2nd shot is strong, but still pleasing. That first shot has me staring like a cow at a new gate. Composition & execution are wonderful. 'glad to see the historic bldgs, Richard. Nicely done. 104etc - I should learn to load my film so wrong. Gate/Fence shot is nice, Bertliang. 'Don't know why I like it, but sure do. Sigh. If the clarity & tones are making you cry - its probably Rick's. Panels II & Sales & Service are killer. Tony - those cosinon shot make me think you're hanging out w/ Rick too much. :)
  9. a bit of color - fe2/50/provia 400, bluemooncamera lab
  10. Rich - love it when you grab the big Mami. Erko - very clean & crisp. 'Cubic money. :) 'Grabbed a shot where the valve covers were finished in a photo image of piles of $100 bills - how appropriate. One driver last yr said each trip down the strip was $1800. On the other end of the technology/performance spectrum - we have... Horseless. Fe2/50/HP5/PyroHD
