1. This account is being used to spam forums. Previously there was a "Report Spam" option, but now there is just a Report option which has a daily limit. I believe the "Report Spam" went to the forum moderator(s) but if the spam is across multiple forums, having a daily limit using "Report" is less than helpful if that's still the current process https://www.photo.net/discuss/members/nencinenci.10935025/ I already reported the user from the user page. Is there anything else that can be done? What is the policy/procedure now? Thanks.
 2.
[[Why is putting a picture on here so difficult?]

It appears that you attempted to reference a web page, not an image file, in your "insert image" step. An image file that displays in-browser from your uploads, would end in JPG. If you right-clicked and picked "copy link address" that link is not to the image, but to the web page that shows the larger image. Check the copied address before adding it to the "insert image" dialog box.

 3.
[[Jeff, thanks for your help by providing Adobe's telephone number however, the phone number is only available for paying customers]]

[[i have been using CS6 ever since it became available (one time purchase).]]

By definition you are a paying customer are you not?

 4.
Googling a generic version of the error message indicates that you may have turned on Picture Profile and/or are in Movie mode. If neither of these are true, the only step available appears to be a full reset on the camera.

 5.
Depending on the camera model, your long exposure images may show the effects of amp noise in the form of a purple blob or haze, usually near the edges or corners.

There is no physical harm in shooting long exposures.

 6.
I do not see a blue line in the video or in the still image.

 7.
My approach has been, at times, to use a small storage memory card in my camera and go out for photo strolls. I have one camera/card combo that will hold only ~27 RAW photos. I don't delete during these sessions and see if I can force myself to really think about the image before snapping the shutter. It seems to help my brain a bit to re-set and think more carefully about my image creation process. I might only do this a couple times a year, but I find it enjoyable.

 9.
Dave,
As I'm sure you've done, there's some discussions elsewhere about the cards not working in one Sony camera but working perfectly fine in another. Do you have a big-box store nearby that sells Sony cameras? You might take the cards that don't work with you and see if 1) they work in any other Sony camera and 2) they can be formatted in said camera. Maybe just using another camera will "reset" whatever it is that's causing the RX100 to not read the card.
It's a bit of a stretch, especially if you don't have a store nearby with stock, but it might provide additional data.

Also, if you're at the big box store already, buy another card and see if the new one fails in the RX100. If it does then I'd say the RX100 needs to be serviced by Sony.

 10.
How about a thread just for photos taken with a digital point and shoot?

Canon A650 IS

I picked the above shot because I liked the setup. The wind was blowing a bit too much, so I stabilized the flower with the camera itself. :)
https://c1.staticflickr.com/7/6218/6244357626_64b150712b.jpg

 12.
If you just purchased your camera, why wouldn't you return it?

 13.
[[Any suggestion?]]
Depending on your output requirements, moving the camera back and cropping the final image may be an option. There are other challenges there, of course, but it's a rather low cost solution that can be evaluated with beetle-sized test subjects before the real ones arrive.

 14.
Looks pretty decent with a feature set that meets most of my needs. I couldn't care less about an electronic finder in a mirrorless camera, so maybe I'll have to wait and see if they replace the M10 with the internals of this camera.
They still need to work on the lens selection though. This camera is crying out for a couple of decent relatively fast primes.
