2. Most likely a Minecraft vehicle. I had my suspicions but had to get confirmation from a young person! Google Minecraft if you're interested.
3. If you want to stay out of the “cogs” menu, then the default camera settings are:- rear dial for Program Shift, Front Dial for Exposure Compensation Although you have the option to switch between Front or Rear dial to operate the Program Shift and/or other settings in either case you will still need to remember which dial you set for which function and you also have to remember the variable of switching the lever between position 1 and 2. Obviously the display can be set to show you the Exposure Compensation and or Program Shift. Page 34 of the manual deals with this.
4. Just a thought, if you are still trying to resolve this issue, if you have a slim extension tube/ring you could try mounting the lens to that. You should be able to see where the lens is binding, also if the worst happens and the lens becomes stuck or damages the tube then you have only damaged or lost a relatively cheap item rather than damaging your camera.
5. How hard can this be? I think it works!
6.
Walter, thanks for sharing this link. I followed it more out of curiosity rather than searching for a manual. Apart from the enlargers section there are many other interesting pages, in particular I enjoyed the old advertisements, particularly from the seventies and eighties when my real interest in photography began and the Battery Eliminator Power Supply article. So to anyone else, if you were not aware of James Ollinger's website, take a look there is almost certain to be at least one item to interest you.
