  1. Rollei IR and Superpan 200 (the same film, really about 150 ISO) is pretty good. Rollei Retro 80, Rollei RPX25 and Adox HR50 are all the same film, have a similar IR response to Rollei IR, and are about 50 ISO. All of these show the Wood effect with an R72 filter. Ilford SFX200 and JCH Streetpan also respond to IR, but I haven't tried them.
  2. I can't help you much, except to say that I use a very cheap HP5200 printer for digital negs, and it works well enough for me. I've printed negs for cyanotype, vandyke, kallitype, gum and carbon. One thing to consider: ink tank printers have fixed heads, which can clog if you don't use them for a while. I don't think cartridge printers have that problem. You can probably get more responses to your question over on photrio. There's a good alt process group there.
  3. A #15 cuts off at 510nm and the #16 cuts off at 520nm. Filters like this darken shadows because shadows are mostly lit by diffuse skylight, which is generally blue. Since both of the block pretty much all blue, I'd expect to see little difference (if any) in how they affect shadows.
  4. It was my experience that the T4 lens isn't as sharp as its reputation suggests, so a 7x10 was the upper limit for me.
