  1. Long time, no see (Health issues, but shoulder surgery and chiropractic sorting some of the issues out now...) Still can't safely backpack my SLR gear, so using an old CoolPix P7100 for now. Rather envious of the red-dot brigade I saw last week taking a phototour of Lisbon (am I allowed to say that?), but such a drastic sudden equipment switch is beyond my means. Anyway, I felt that subject trumped technical considerations, so I'm posting my choices here. Converted to b&w in Affinity, via Nik Silver Efex Pro 2. NOTE: The first subject is a homeless person, but I think I have maintained his anonymity. If moderators (or viewers) disagree, please delete.
  2. Three more from my recent trip, all D700 and 24-120 f4 VR: 1/60 @ f10, ISO400, zoom at 48mm, cropped 1/40 @ f8, ISO1600, zoom at 120mm, cropped 1/80 @ f4.5, ISO400, zoom at 55mm, cropped
  3. Just back from a brief holiday. Took my trusty D700 and a new 24-120 f4 VR G - an upgrade from my old film 28-105 ED. Very pleased with its performance. 1/160 @ f5.6, ISO200, 92mm zoom 1/250 @ f8, ISO400, 120mm zoom 1/250 @ f13, ISO400, 120mm zoom
