Searching for the best 28mm lens for Sony A7RII camera
peter_roberts4 posted a topic in Sony/Minolta
Just acquired a Sony A7RII camera. I had tried to shoot with Leica Elmarit-M 2.8/28 and Zeiss Distagon 2.8/28. The results are soft at corners when both of them are wide open to f2.8. With aperture set at f11, the extreme corners are quite acceptable. Enclosed are the photos for your judgement. So far, I am still looking for the best 28mm wide angle lens for A7RII except those Sony native lenses. Please tell me your choice. Manual focus is not a problem to me as I shoot landscape all the time. -

What I predicted in 2011 comes true now. MoneyDJ reported that Panasonic would be closing the department of digital camera. -

<p>This review further confirms my selection of lens without Panasonic to be a wise choice.</p> -
Kolari Thin Glass for Sony A7

<p>I agree "If you have a Summicron 35/2 sitting round ($2200 new), the $500 conversion might make sense." </p> -
Kolari Thin Glass for Sony A7

<p>Price of this thin glass for a7II is 499.99 whereas that of a7II is around 1698. It is almost 30% of the value of the camera!</p> -
<p>Well, my unrealistic expectation of B&H was to have my films ordered sent to an address outside USA. <br> Last year, B&H said they could not send to an address without zip code although B&H had sent to my address without zip code hundred times in the past 20 years. The fact was B&H notified me their inability to mail the films after my order placed for two weeks and my repeated e-mails to ask for delivery. I had explained to them that there was no zip code in my country and they could not expect that everything outside USA should be same as that in the USA.<br> The problem was I ran out of time to order films from other dealers in the USA as I always relied on B&H for 20 years!</p>

<p>I am heading to Seoul soon and planning to take some twilight photos of the city of Seoul. Could you suggest the locations or places where a tourist can access to take such kind of photos?</p> <p>Thanks.</p>
