1.
I just cannot stay away from the Forum. Regarding the quality, feel and reliability of original Wetzlar-made Leicas, when I gave away most of my collection several months ago, I heeded the admonitions of Plimpton and other Forum friends to keep a few of the best, most iconic Leicas. And now I am ready to part with them.
If anyone wants to buy all three, in triple-mint condition, for $5k complete -- here they are:
M2, made in 1966, with 35 Summaron 1:2.8
SL2, 50 Jahre in Chrome, made in 1975, with 60 Macro-Elmarit R 1:2.8 with 1:1 extension tube
IIIG, made in 1960, with Leicavit and 50 Collapsible Summicron 1:2
--all cameras, lenses, etc. are immaculate.
Paul
pdn42@optonline.net

 2.
Just bought a copy: I can hear Al saying: "why didn't you buy two/"

 3.
I have hundreds of these dating from the fifties!
Who wants 'em? Make me a low offer.

 4.
Looks like he just escaped from somewhere after seriously abusing some M2's

 5.
Bill, nice pic of best Leica ever!!!

 6.
Get an M2 and don't look back. Best insides of any M IMHO.

 7.
I just love to read of continued interest in the LTM bodies and lenses.

 8.
How lucky, or not, am I to still be amazed at the resolution and color rendition of my classic 35mm 1:2.8 Summaron?

 9.
IMHO, nothing beats a IIIG, 50mm 1:2 collapsible Summicron, Leicavit winder and 50mm Leitz Briteline finder.

 10.
SL2: 60mm 1:2.8 ElmaritR; 28mm 1:2.8 ElmaritR

 11.
Great review: nice M-A; just validates my M2 comfort zone (kinda love my SL2 with Macro-Elmarit 60mm 1:2.8 as well)
