  1. Many many years ago, when I fall in love with photography, the 50/1,8 was my only lens (is the equivalent of your 35mm lens , but in fullframe). An inexpensive set of macro extension rings open infinite possibilities and captivating exploring directions , making my sole lens more versatile. I remember with pleasure those hours I spend trying to capture on film small flowers and insects...
  2. Yes..it appear that all batteries are "further processed in China". Only the lithium cells are manufactured in Japan...
  3. I will ask my friend if his battery is further processed in China...if that matters...
  4. Good thinking ! ...So I have to inform you that : -Body Z6ii , is made in Thailanda -Strap for Z6ii ,is made in Bangladesh -Battery, is made in Japan -Charger for Z6ii , is made in China Funny ?
  5. Nikon Z6ii , ISO 2500, nr OFF, crop 100%
  6. We know (thanks)...135 was/is my favorite focal lengh since I was a child... About focus capability of Z6ii , it appear to be excellent, very fast and with amazing face/eye tracking...somehow better than Sony a7iii...
  7. With NR OFF,both cameras, zooming on pictures ,seems to have same amount of noise at iso 20000 (jpg from camera-first Sony-crop)
  8. Three days ago a friend of mine received his desired Z7ii. Today we take some shots comparing my Sony a7iii with the new Nikon, but have no time to make a serious test with equivalent lenses (Sony with 16-35 F2,8 - Nikon with 35mm 1,8). Conclusion : this two cameras behave almost the same .The last two pictures are taken at ISO 20000 1/400 F5 (Sony first) Shun Cheung: Paul has a typo. He meant the Z6 II instead of Z7 II, which is not yet released.
  9. I tought it was an ISIS fighter .... :-)
  10. The repair requires tools, epoxy adhesive, finesse, patience and a good magnifying glass... or eagle eyes :)
  11. I still have the D3, the 800 and D4s (and sold D700, D810 , D4 and D750). All three with low shutter counts probably because I own almost all FF body Nikon produce and many other brands. For portraits I will choose the D3(D700) paired with 70-200/2,8. In my opinion the 12Mp sensor deliver the most beautiful and natural colors in every situation, even with flash or studio light. It's hard to explain...every sensor have it's own personality. Forget the sensors produced after D800 except maybe D4s. They are not suited for portraits.
  12. The next Z generation will solve this problem, like Sony's a9 blackout-Free Quad-VGA 3.7m-Dot OLED EVF does.
  13. A view from my living room window : (shoot 10 minutes ago)
  14. A few years ago my son convinced me to buy a 55" 4K Tv (it was a Sony top of the line model). We all remain breathless when we first see our last taken pictures. So many details ...wow ! All because until then we only saw 2 or 3,6 Mp (2560x1440) from our 36Mp pictures (on the small screen(27")or FullHD tv's, and suddenly 8MP on a big screen ! Now we have another 4K 65"HDR OLED TV , and I can tell you the experience is amazing (pictures or film). Fortunately in my country we have blazing fast fiber optic internet (unlimited trafic for only 5 $/month) and 5G technology so I can say : smile, the future is here and 8K worldwide seem realistic to me ! BTW..., nowadays, almost all my clients want 4k footage for their weddings, but 10 years from now 8k(32Mp) OLED will be king.
