I have encountered a similar problem recently. What I know is that recovering photos from a memory card is much easier than repairing pictures. -

I think your XD card has been damaged. You can try to format your XD Card and see if the XD card can be used. If there is important data in the XD card, you can try the XD Card Recovery Tool.
