  1. Seems nobody interested I can understand it. 2.8 is not 3.5 :) Should think on filing the bayonet lug off for the comfort shooting.
  2. Yes, on ebay there are different prices for theses lenses, but anyway, f2.8 is more expensive. Though, using this my f3.5 always switching manually 35mm frameline is also not a good option :)
  3. Hello everybody. I have an early quite rare Summaron 35mm f3.5, made for Leica M3 and intended to be used without goggles. More details are in this thread: Modifying Summaron M 35mm 3.5 to 35mm frame line I was told in this thread that it`s a rare lens that has a collectors value. If it`s really so, I would not kill a rare lens filing off a part of the bayonet lug. But for me, a collectors value is less important than the wider aperture. So my question is: maybe, somebody wants to trade this lens for a Summaron 35mm f2.8?
  4. Thank you, Brian. I`m new here, maybe you can help, where here can I create this trade topic?
  5. I would gladly trade it on Summaron 35/2.8. I`m a photographer, not rarities collector, so wider aperture for me is more important. If somebody wants do to the exchange - I`d be happy.
  6. Sorry, but you`re wrong. They existed. UPDATE: I see above you`ve already found them :) Honestly, I`ve never heard about theses m3 lenses before I`ve bought this one and started to search on the internet.
  7. http://www.photo.net/barryfisher Yes, my camera has a 35mm frameline, and it works as should with another 35mm lens, like Jupiter-12 via an appropriate adapter.
  8. NHSN, thaks a lot! As far as I see, they filed the "slope" of that lens lug. On the "normal" Summaron it should be the side.
  9. Thank you NHSN Actually, I see the people from that topic filed something. But I do not clearly understand what did they filed, the top part of the lug or the side. If you know, could you please clarify? Maybe, with a picture?
  10. Thanks, Sandy. It would be nice to have a version with 35mm frame lines. But the problem is - this Summaron was the only available for sale in my country. So I bought it :) Buying from ebay is too expensive (too high import fees). Yes, I have a 35mm viewfinder. But if I want to use the camera with a flash - it can not be used. So I`d rather modify the lens mount. Thanks, Glenn. I`ll look for Nokton modifications.
  11. Hello, everybody Recently I`ve got the Summaron 35mm f3.5 with M mount, non-goggled version, and was surprised that it activates the 50mm frame. I`ve found that the bayonet can be home modified to bring up the 35mm frame. But did not see exact instruction. Anybody could help with it? What exactly should I file off? Thank you.
