<p>Is it really P7100, not D7100 you are considering? With P7100 you can't use your old optics.</p>

<p>My D7100 it is easy to turn AUTO ISO on and off. Pressing the ISO button and turning front wheel it goes AUTO and not-AUTO without going to Menu. ISO can be chancedwith back wheel similarly.</p>

<p>One good technique is thumb focus. Set the AE/AF lock to focus and take focus of from shutter. Then you can compose very easy after focusing to the important point.</p>
