  1. LOCATION: UK Launched in June 2001, Nikon D1X is a 5.0MP Pro DSLR camera with a APS-C (23.7 x 15.5 mm ) sized CCD sensor, weather-sealed body and Nikon F lens mount. Here is your chance to own a very good example. In very good condition and comes with the following: Camera with rear screen cover and camera body cap (does not include a lens) 1 working battery that holds a good charge and 2 batteries that don't (but can be converted to L-ion - see Youtube) 1 Fast battery charger oem 1 AC adapter oem 1GB CF card and an adapter Manual Nikon software including Nikon View 4 and Nikon Capture 2 (untested) The original boxes including the external box that holds everything. (Top polystyrene is missing for the camera box - see picture- but will pack it securely) £199.00 Free shipping in the UK. If it isn't as described then I will of course refund you. DP Review said of it when it came out: I'm quite comfortable applauding Nikon and giving the D1x the crown of the best digital SLR on the market (at the time of writing this review). When you see the camera as a whole, it's excellent build quality, super rugged body and you add amazing resolution, superb colour reproduction, low noise at higher ISO's, fast operational speed, support for Microdrive you begin to realize that the D1x is going to be a very tough act for ANYONE to follow. It's price tag was £6000. Some specs Nikon D1X has environmental sealings on its body which makes it a weather resistant camera, providing resistance against the water and dust getting in to the camera. If you like outdoors photography and want to be able to use your camera in extreme conditions, Nikon D1X will serve you well. If you attach one of these Nikon D1X weather-sealed lenses to your camera, you will have a great all weather kit. Nikon D1X has a Nikon F lens mount and currently there are 316 native lenses available for this mount. Besides providing one of the largest selection of lenses, Nikon F mount also has backward compatibility which means that you can use F mount lenses even dating from 1960s. It is also well supported by the lenses form third-party manufacturers. Nikon D1X doesn't have a sensor based image stabilization system but 107 of these lenses already comes with Optical Image Stabilization. There are 82 lenses with weather sealing for Nikon D1X that you can couple with its weather-sealed body. Nikon D1X can shoot continuously at max speed of 3 fps and has max shutter speed of 1/16000 sec. It has phase detection autofocus. Link to multiple images below: Images
  2. Decided to load up the Harman Phoenix and start the New Year in Colour like @PhotoNet Pro Weapon of choice, a recently acquired Canon A-1
  3. Err, one of these maybe though I do still have a part used roll of film in my Pentax ME Super so maybe that first? Too many choices? Yeah, probably (and these are the ones I haven't yet shot a film in yet)
  4. I plan to shoot a camera that I originally threw in the bin. I don't usually do that but it was so dirty, the material had fallen off and the back door was completely off the camera. It was only when I discovered the manual in the box that I discovered the back door is meant to come off so I figured the camera deserved a reprieve and some TLC. Picking up a roll of Ilford HP5+ on Thursday.
  5. I should add this one as I am really excited about it. It is currently in Germany being serviced. A 1936 Ihajee Kino Exacta with the round viewfinder.
  6. Will put a roll of HP5+ in the Contax II (1936) and see what happens. New to me, it certainly needs a service at some point but the shutter fires on all speeds (accuracy unknown but slow is slow and fast is fast). Lens has a little bit of possible separation, hard to tell so the test roll should also give me some insight into that as well. I may also run a test roll through the Fed 2. The rangefinder cam is too stiff to function properly so zone focusing will be the order of the day. I put the N61 from my Fed 3 on it (it's the N26 in the picture) as it is easier to read for the zone info.
  7. Thank you. Yes it certainly needs more work in PP though my plan to keep returning to the site is I think the best option. There is something to be had there, I just need to figure it out. Over time I'll be doing more shooting with the Tak of course so hopefully I can test it in enough situations to determine if it performs as well as I think (hope) it might. I can say it is lovely to use. I currently only have two Olympus M4/3 lenses (17mm F/1,8 and 12-40 Pro F/2.8) so part of the experiment for me has been to see what focal lengths I like that I don't currently have. I'm picking up 28mm and 35mm vintage lenses over the next week or two. I'm particularly interested in the 70mm FFE focal length as I know that Olympus make a nice 75mm F/1.8 in M4/3. It is a challenge going back to the completely manual lenses after a thirty-odd year break but it is fun. Plus it also means I will have a decent set of options for my Pentax ME Super and Spotmatic.
  8. The suggestion was that downloading 13MB was an effort when in reality it requires no effort at all. I then accepted that not everyone has a decent download speed like I do (so there was a point of learning). I also hadn't realised that I had linked to a 13MB image (another point of learning - I intended to put the image in the post but got confused) and in most cases would have offered an apology to the poster for doing so however I find them undeserving of one. If a person cannot say something nice, then they should say nothing at all or even better add some helpful constructive criticism, which is what I expected to find on this forum.
  9. EM1 MkII Didn't get you yesterday so played around with the Tamron SP90mm taking close-up images. I need to work harder with the focussing at large apertures or accept my eyes just aren't good enough to nail it and shoot a bit more closed down. Practice! Practice! Practice! A small button

  11. Was downloading 13MB a lot of effort for you? I am sorry if that was the case. I have a decent download speed but I guess not everyone does. Thank you for your constructive feedback.
  12. Building up a nice set of prime older lenses which will do double duty on the Olympus as well as my two Pentax film cameras. So far I am using the following on the Oly: Auto Yashinon DS-M 135mm F/2.8 Tamron SP90mm F/2.5 Helios 44-2 58mm F/2 Takumar Super Multicoated 50mm F/1.4 I took the Tak out for the first time today and absolutely love it. So nice to handle and it pops into focus so easily. This image was shot at F/1.4 though the window of a closed bridalwear shop that relocated last summer. Seems they left behind a shoe. Hey Cinderella.....! (Image underwent some PP in Luminar 4 but was sharp SOOC).
