  1. It's the PRO model. It seems to only occur with one film back. I believe someone on here suggested throwing a small LED in the film back and checking in the darkroom for light leaks. I think I'll try this, I just need to find an LED small enough to fit in it.
  2. I replaced the light seals and still have a small light leak. Out of 24 exposures, I only see two light leaks and they were back to back on a cloudy overcast day. They are on the bottom left area of the frame, pretty much in the same location. Could it possibly be caused by a leak in the shutter curtain?
  3. I have two film backs, a pro and a non-pro for my RB-67. I've replaced all of the seals in the backs as well as the ones in the camera body. I've noticed that sometimes I get an occasional light leak on the bottom left of the frame. Does this mean the light leak is somewhere on the top right of my film back? Considering the leak extends into the area beyond the frame, I don't think it's the lens. Could someone help me locate it?
  4. I have checked the shutter and do not see any pinholes. The light seals on the back on the side appear to be new but I cannot tell if the ones on the top and bottom are new or worn. Since the light leaks are on the bottom of the film, does this mean the light leak is on the top of the camera, probably somewhere near the viewfinder? I replaced the light seals on my Mamiya RB-67 using a foam kit, so I can probably manage to replace these. What kind of material should I use to replace the ones on the Minolta?
  5. Hi everyone, I am a relatively new owner of a Mamiya RB-67 Pro. I've shot a few rolls through it and did not see any light leaks, but the seals are in rough shape so I've decided to replace them. Question 1: I ordered the kit from Aki Asahi but am confused about the rotating back light seals that are included in the kit. They are the square shaped seals seen here: http://www.aki-asahi.com/store/html/Mamiya-RB67/Light-seal/index.php My rotating back does not have any evidence of light seals at all in that location. No goop or anything. Does my model RB-67 not have light seals here? Question 2: What is the little switch on the back of the film back? It's the one with the arrow pointing left. Question 3: Is it possible to use the mirror lock-up feature without a special cable release? I have a normal cable release but not one that will work with the Mamiya shutter lock-up. If so, what are the steps for using mirror lock-up?
  6. Thanks, everyone. The weirdest thing is that the leaks only occur on a few frames. With light leaks related to failed seals, don't you normally see leaks on every frame or across the entire roll of film?
  7. Hi everyone! I've owned my Minolta SRT-102 for a year and have shot several rolls of film with it without any issues. I recently took a trip to San Francisco and shot a roll of Portra 400. Out of 36 exposures, 4 or 5 of them had what appears to be a light leak. Interestingly enough, these particular shots were done in bright sunlight at 1/1000 and f/8 or higher. The other shots were done at lower shutter speeds and wider apertures. Why would only 4 or 5 shots have light leaks but not the other shots? Could this have been caused in development?
