1. The repair service provided an excellent repair. However, they did not have a rubber O ring. I can get along without the O ring. I do not mind if the thread is closed.

 3. I just learned the difference this evening. Simply put, with a mechanical shutter, one may view depth of field, with the press shutter, you cannot view depth of field. Also, your shutter speed is limited to about 125.
 4. using Google, I finally found a thread located on Photo Net, which mentions a repair service in Los Angeles, Ca., called Quality Light Metrics's. I called them and they can calibrate the meter and my have the rubber eye piece part that I need.. Theirnumber in 323-467-2265, if anyone else should need these services. THe threads on Photo.Net highly recommended this repair service.
 5. Does anyone know where I may purchase a rubber eyepiece for an Asahi Pentax Digital Spot meter?
 6.
Harry directed me to Key Camera Service. The owner of Key Camera has been excellent in how he communicates and keeps me updated regarding my camera. He confirmed that the release mechanism had worn and was jamming internally, which keeps the current flowing and probably over exposing film. He is very busy and let me know that it will take about three weeks before he can return my camera. All work is guaranteed and all return mail is insured. I am confident that his work will be superior as the only other technician that was mentioned is a factory tech in Germany. I will follow up with our group, when I get the camera back. I thank everyone for their input.
Best regards,
Luther Hert

 7.
I was looking for a case for a 12/24 frame 2.8f with a penta prism. After reading this information, I am looking for an alternative to a Rollei Ever Ready Caes.

 8.
I have read all of the information and discussions in the forum, but I cannot discern whether or not my camera is a Rolleiflex White Face 2.8F. This is the background information: On eBay, I bought a Rolleiflex 2.8 F in excellent condition. The camera came from the estate of the seller's father. It has SN: 2.8F 2418788. The taking lens is a Zeiss Planar, 1:2.8 f=80 mm, SN: NR 3404905.
Can someone knowledgeable confirm any of this for me. I had placed this camera on eBay for sale and it sold immediately, but the buyer had problems with PayPal and the sale did not go through. Afterwards, I received the information that the camera is a 2.8f White Face and that I should keep it. Can someone help me.

 9.
I found a camera service, which repairs the Rolleiflex GX. This service is located in the United States:
303-772-7690
Key Camera Service 1428 Main St.
Longmont, Colorado 80501

 10.
I was told by a knowledgeable source: "The side LED should be off, as well as the LED in the viewfinder. Lightly press the shutter button and the LED should turn on for 30 seconds. If it's on longer or stays on, there is something wrong with the shutter contact." So, the electrical short diagnoses seems apropos, although the test light does not remain on, the LED's in the view finder remain turned on, after the frame is shot. I need to contact a repair person who is knowledgeable regarding GX repairs. Can anyone provide me the name or names of some good repair persons. During a long illness, I lost all of my records. Thank you for your help.
Luther Hert

 11.
I recently purchased a Rolleiflex GX. The battery for the light meter never turns off and I therefore need to replace the battery, after shooting a few rolls of film. There are plenty of answers in the Medium Format forum about batteries being too long, but I find nothing on this topic.
Thank you.

 12.
Hello all,
Can anybody tell me if a Really-Right-Stuff B 35 or similarly compatible quick-release camera plate, along with a a 3/8" - 16 to 1/4" -20 reducer bushing will work with the Canham 4x5, 5 x7, 4x10 field camera's tripod base plate? The plate has 1/4" and a 3/8" holes, which are approximately 3.5 " from center to center. the in line holes will provide stability and the bushing will be used to reduce the 3/8" hole to 1/4". I am concerned with the spacing between the two holes. Also, I wonder if the length of the B 35 along the bottom of the plate is long enough to support the weight of a Fuji W 1:63/360 LENS?
Thanks in advance,
Luther Hert

 13.
Larry,
That bezel will have to be hand crafted, I know of no one who has ever made one. Yours may be a first.
Regards,
Luther
