Fireworks are beautiful because colorful, but what is your opinion about fireworks in B&W?

My father just told me that he is thinking to buy a Tokina 11-20 f2.8. It would be used both on a Nikon D90 and a D300s. Do you have any feedback about that lens?

To me it is a lens flare.

The first photo looks good, the macro one not much, but that could be because of the ray of light and the focus not correctly set. You should make another try with it.
