1. And where can I get the Nik Collection then? Forgot about that one. So upsetting to have lost everything
 2. Thank you so very much Paul. Why would I want this one over the last version released? I'll see if I can have them both on my computer. Thank you I will Bookmark these links.
 3. Yes thank you :) I don't get why it couldn't get it to pop up through my searches. Most kind of you to help :)
 4. Thank you so very much Wouter Willemse. Your link was what I tried to get through Nikon's site and it simply would not come up. You have restored Capture NX2 to me :) Thank you so very much :) I don't get why Nikon seems so happy to hide it from their site.
 5. That was my result as well. I did contact Nikon with hope of help
 6. Thank you for your recommendations. I will take them under consideration and try things out to see what I feel comfortable with.
 7. Thank you, I have my activation code and I have my disk for NX2. The problem is, I want the updates to the version I now have which is 2.0.0 and I know there's updates to it. I'm working with a D800 and a D300. NX2 works for both of them. I'm trying NX-D right now and I didn't like it when it came out and I don't like it right now. I can't make heads or tails out of it. I've contacted Nikon as well. Hopefully they can help or I'll have to go to my old version Photoshop. Thank you for trying to help.
 8. I loved NX2 the last version I had. Thank you I'll have to check Nikon's web site I guess.
 9. Hi, I've not been around for a long time I know. Done very little photography over the last few years. During the Fall my computer died and I had to get it fixed and they formatted my HD. I'm trying to figure out if there's any way of locating the last updates for NX2. I tried to do a search but only got photographs. The site has changed so much since I was last here. If not, what software are you all now using?
 10.
I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I did a search and found no answer.
Unfortunately my computer, now 8 years old, is not happy since installations of later Windows updates. I refuse to install Windows 10 on it as I can see the issues with simple updates. So, since I did some update I can't remove, the computer is now unstable. So, since it's been loyal to me for 8 years I guess it's time for a new one.
Anyhow, before I do this rather drastic thing, I love this computer..... I want to know if Capture NX 2 will run on it. And please, don't start telling me to use another program. This is the one I love and have loved for many years. Also, I don't want any recommendations in what computer to buy. All I need to know is - - -
Will NX2 run on a Windows 10 computer.

Thanks

 11.
Derek,
many years ago I got a Feisol tripod. At first I was very pleased with it. Then one day I could not get one of the locks on the legs to lock down. I contacted them and they sent me the parts. I could not ever get it to work correctly again. It just would not lock down correctly. Most probably my fault. I gave up. Maybe one day I'll ask my husband to look at it now that he's retired and has the time to mess with it. I'd completely forgotten about it as I haven't use it in what feels like forever.
I didn't have the money to spend on a Gitzo at the time. And I certainly don't at this time as we're now living on his retirement.
Let me express that I felt the tripod was very sturdy as I used it for my 300-800mm f/5.6 Sigma lens which weighs a lot. The only thing I was unhappy with was the "locks" by which we tighten down the tripod legs. Only one failed me. But then, that's all it takes.....
Thanks for reminding me I have the tripod. Maybe we can get it working again.

 12.
Hi everyone,

this week I'm paying homage to movie theater commercials from the 70's in Sweden. So of my youth. ;) Anyhow, there were these commercials for this hair shampoo which were shot with a very special look which I still see in Sweden or at least really associate with Sweden. So here are three photos taken during August when the light inspired me to go for that "look", so a little nostalgia on my part and so intentionally done this way ;) Shot with the D800 and the 70-200VR f/2.8 or the 24-70 f/2.8

1. 13.
Hi people in Nikon land,
just wanted to visit as I've had a little bit of a chance to photograph a little of late. Nice photos as always & I hope all are doing well in their part of the planet. Lex I see a lot of on Facebook and that makes me happy. I spend too much time there supporting me nephew who works for them ;)
My sister and her family where here for three weeks in August, at which time I had a chance to photograph the beauty of the family, my amazing older sister..... She likes extremes in B&W so that's what I give her. Though these will go from extreme to normal I'd say... She really wants them as extreme as the first one, but I think a variety is better for her to look at.... Still, I'm not a portrait photographer, but as long as my sister's happy with the result - that's all that matters to me.

So here are three photos of my amazing older sister taken with the NIKON D800 paired with the 70-200mm f/2.8 (the old one) @ 190 mm, 1/3200, ISO 400 -1/3EV Center weighted metering in Aperture mode....

Slightly less extreme NIKON D800, f/2.8 paired with the 70-200mm f/2.8 (the old one) @ 200 mm, 1/3200, ISO 400 -1/3EV Center weighted metering in Aperture mode....

And finally NIKON D800 paired with the 70-200mm f/2.8 (the old one) f/2.8 @ 200 mm, 1/3200, ISO 400 -1/3EV Center weighted metering in Aperture mode....

I hope you have enjoyed :)
