  1. The red eye flight takes me from one place and time to another where a new day begins. Hopefully we'll all land in 2023 in comfort and start the year with good coffee, friends, and plenty of photo opportunities. Those familiar with the landscape will recognize Oakland, CA below. The brightest light mid-frame is a stadium.
  2. Feeling a bit ship wrecked near Pistol River on the Oregon coast.
  3. Telegraph Road by Dire Straits
  4. Duckweed escorts fallen leaves into the dark waters of a nearby waterway where they will continue in the great circle of life. Soon all will freeze and the landscape will be transformed as winter takes hold.
  5. Our autumn color is gone and we're left with a landscape in the tonal values of pumpkin pie, roast turkey and whipped cream. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
  6. But this thread isn't about your priorities. We all want functional galleries. As I've said in the past, they will either fix it or not. I'm done asking about it. As its for nudes, we should have a choice of opting in or out. It's a statement of fact, not a complaint and your comment comes off like a dismissal. We shouldn't even have to discuss it. Life is short and I've got better things to do. Luca is hilarious and I appreciate the levity.
  7. It would be nice to have an across the site opt out from nudes, like we had before. They are both blurred and crystal clear on any given day on the front page of the site, for me at least. Or, maybe people could start posting nudes of men. That might balance things out, or be entertaining, if we can't opt out completely.
  8. A more traditional view of autumn color. Jon Eckman got his snow last night.....well, at least we got his snow.😇
  9. Hey Jon, Let's get through the hurricane coming up here this weekend first.😁
  10. Tupelo (Nyssa sylvatica) stands out in the chaotic color of autumn. It is among the first trees to change and the deep orange red leaves seem to glow in any light.
  11. Thanks Glenn. It's kind of you to say. I never underestimate the power of a cloud. I think I've seen a couple of images from your session with the fog on the Snake River. Bravo! Jon Eckman's image this week is another I wish I'd taken.
