Thanks for stopping and commenting. This is known as hoarfrost here in BC, Canada. "a deposit of needle-like ice crystals formed on the ground by direct condensation at temperatures below freezing point. Also called: white frost " the Free Dictionary. All the white here is sparkling little ice crystals and it is amazingly beautiful. I didn't do it justice, but I am happy to hear that you like it. Best wishes, Linda

In January we are visited by flocks of Trumpeter Swans on the North Thompson River. I have spent many peaceful afternoons watching and photographing them.

Thanks so much for stopping to have a look and comment. We get this amazing effect here when there is a very cold foggy day. I love the way the forest looks when Jack Frost does his magical work.              

I didn't realize that these photos would go out for viewing when I hadn't requested critiques or comments. So now I know. This was taken on a country road on a very cold and foggy day. I love how the world is turned into a magical winter fairy land by the Hoar Frost. Thanks for looking.
