1. Limestone lines the walls of this street leading to The Queen's Staircase. A serene place to visit complete with stone benches and waterfalls.
2. Thanks, Terry, for your reply. I like the approach you mention. I'm not sure how to do that, though. If I am understanding you, the thought is to approach larger companies laying off people and offering them a headshot as, what? part of their severance package? I'm not sure how that would work, i.e. as in who would pay for that. I have worked with outplacement companies where people are in between opportunities with good results, although not providing me with consistent work. No replies other than yours in just under a week. Please find me again if you think of other ideas. Thanks again.
3. Hi, I am focusing on Headshot Photography. I am considering the possibility of signing up for job fairs where I can set up a portable studio and do headshots on the spot. I am looking for a higher tier clientele who are most likely on LinkedIn or other professional sites where a headshot is necessary. I am also looking into job fairs where the fee to be a "vendor" isn't $600+. I am in the DC Metro area, (Montgomery County, MD) and although there are plenty of job fairs available, the fees seem high. Any suggestions where to look other than "job fairs?"

5. You guys are great! Some info about the studio: It's 23' long and 17' wide. I have a paper white backdrop on one wall, a paper black backdrop on the opposite wall. I have a gray like canvas backdrop and a beige like canvas that are like pull curtains. I like the reasoning that gray walls would require more lighting. I don't want to alter the lighting, especially dependent on the walls. There are no windows to deal with. It sounds like white would be best. I would presume flat is suggested rather than anything that has a sheen. Would that be accurate?
6. Oh, and hi guys. It's been a really long time since I've been here. I keep forgetting this is the best site. I impatiently await your replies. And please hurry.
7. Where do I find the auto focus setting where I can press the shutter release ½ way, focus on my subject, and recompose my shot without losing my original focal point?
8.
Question about what to charge for a company-wide headshot photo session, on-location for 30-35 people. They want prices for high res and low res files with unlimited usage for as long as we both shall live. They also want a price for an additional ½ day to do make ups for those who can't make it on the initial shoot day. Budget flexible. DC Metro area. Thoughts? Thanks.
