1.
Hello Luther,
Yes, I have that document, now, I just need to get a bezel like that, there is nothing commercially available, as far as I know.

Larry

 2.
Hello Luther,

I've been meaning to open mine up because it is my understanding is that the bulb is rectangular, and that it will cover 5x7, barely, and I mean barely. Could you verify that for me? Aristo used to make an adaptor for a Durst 5x7 but those are impossible to find. I'm going to have to have something made so I can use the VCL 4500 on my Zone VI 5x7 enlarger because I shoot 5x7. Once I get it open, or someone else opens it, I'll post a picture of the location of the photocell.
I had to change a bulb in a different 5x7 Aristo head, and I recall that the photocell goes in the middle, with the sensor facing away from the bulb, I believe. There are instructions in the manual for RHDesign's fStop timer for where to put a photocell.
Louise Kessler at Voltarc (Louise.Kessler@voltarc.com) is a wonderful help and will sell you new bulbs for the VCL4500. She won't have the photocell though, just the bulbs.

Best,

Larry

 3.
I've always been intrigued by the Misura, as it seems like an amazing little portable 4x5 camera that folds up into a tiny package. Here is an in-depth review: http://www.galerie-photo.com/misura_peronne_us.html

The camera is very expensive but I don't think you can go wrong with Arca gear. I would love to have one but after moving to a 5x7 view camera, I find 4x5 pretty small for seeing anything on the ground glass. I don't know how you compose on 6x9 or 6x7, to be honest, can you zoom in on a digital rig? Goodness, how much is that Linhof rig? It has to be big bucks.

Check out the other Large Format Forum for more information on view cameras: http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/ It's mainly focused on film cameras, although there are discussions about digital backs.

 4.
Hello Luther,

I think RH Designs will be able to help you out, let us know. I love their fStop timer. My VCL4500 had a plug for the photocell, which plugs into the fStop timer, I'm surprised yours didn't.

Best,
Larry

 5.
Yesterday, a Kickstarter project was launched for the TravelWide 4x5 camera. Think of this camera as a lightweight plastic life support system for a film holder. The camera is designed for the 90mm Schneider Angulon, f/6.8, but it will take a wide variety of 90m lenses. The designers also have a 65mm version of the camera.
More information is here:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wanderlust/travelwide-45-camera
Basically, they need to raise $75k in order to pay for the manufacture of this camera. I'm in for a 90mm version of the camera. At $99, it's a bargain. Bring your own lens. If they don't hit their fundraising goal, then the camera will not be produced.
No money is taken from your credit card until they hit their fundraising goal. I hope people here can help them out.
Regards,
Larry Kellogg
