1.
*IF* reality matches the paper description, I'm dumping all my gear for this camera. Reasons:
1. IBIS for FF. It's a big deal. No, it HUGE deal. For wedding photographers using photojournalist style this is hand down victory over any camera out there. For most part you have to shoot in a conditions where you cannot control light and can't use tripod - you know, humans don't stand still in their best day in life. And no, optically stabilized lens are no match to IBIS - been there, tried that.
2. "Live view" shots, i.e. when you don't need to use OVF/EVF to shoot. For me it's not a biggy, but for my wife it is. She starts to have a headache when she needs to keep one eye closed while looking with other into OVF/EVF.
3. Focusing points covering 45% of the image. While this is not as good as Oly E-M1, it is far better than any Canon/Nikon that have their FPs crowded tight around the center. This is another HUGE thing that eliminates all problems with focus/recompose for shallow DOF - at least for those of us who use AF and not MF.
4. 42Mpix joined with back-illuminated sensor. *IF* all will work according to the paper this means almost 2-stop advantage over 22-ish sensor of 5DM3 (1 stop will come from downsampling to 21Mpix and another from BIS). This point is questionable - nobody has any tests yet. I just *hope* that this Sony sensor will give me 2 extra stops to combat noise. (Personally, I think 42MPix is an overkill, and Sony would be better if they just made it 21MPix to begin with, but with better low light capability. Oh, well, you always can downsample, right? :))
5. 4K video. While this is by far the *least* important thing for me, it'll be nice match to my 4K TV :) for occasional family videos. But for many people, especially those who do both stills and video at weddings, this is a killer feature.
Now the things I don't like about this new body:
1. Cr**py lens choice. But, given the fact that there are plethora of adapters, I plan to re-use my Canon lens for the time being.
2. Lossy compressed RAW. C'mon, Sony, are you serious?!
3. Ergonomics (controls usage) is still light years behind serious Canikons - at least from what I've read. I guess, I'd just have to adapt.
Things I don't care about:
1. Size and weight. It's nice to have smaller body, but I wouldn't complain even it it would be twice bigger. It just doesn't matter when you consider how much additional stuff you have to carry for the job - extra pound would be just lost in this pile.
2. Mirrored/mirrorless. Since advent of E-M1 EVF became almost on par with OVF, and difference simply does not worth to think about. While I have no info on how good/bad EVF is on this new Sony, I hope that if it is at least as good as E-M1, I'm totally fine.
3. FPS. I'm not sports photographer, so I can't care less. End of story.
So now I'm just waiting for real life reviews to see if it's time to dump my 5DM3 and E-M1, or Sony should work for some more time :)

 2.
The only question I personally have is what people do with either those selfies or those "please take our photo"? Quality is non-existent, never intended to be printed, and is much worse "memories" than simple "check: I've been there/done that". Reminds me an old joke: "On this picture you could see me and Eiffel tower. Tower is on the left".
So, what is the point? I really don't get it.
On the other hand, I also really don't get the reason for existence of facebook/twitter/instagram etc. May be this is related.
