1. Hey everyone! I am trying to achieve a certain look within my imagery and I am getting a little frustrated. A lot of images that I am in love with are hand printed. I just love the dreaminess and quality you get from them and just the overall effect that they have. I am trying to find a place within the states that provides analog printing services. Like somewhere I can send my negatives off to and pay to have them printed and the prints sent back to me and from there I can scan them and use them for digital sites socials etc. I don't know specifically the best way to go about this but I have referenced links to images below that I love and was curious if you guys could help me find the best solution for me and tell me what it exactly is that I am looking for and point me in the right direction. A lot of people keep telling me that I could easily achieve what I am looking for in post but that is not what I am looking for and am specifically looking for hand printing. There are no darkrooms within my immediate area that I can do it myself and I also would prefer to send it to someone who knows what they are doing and will achieve what I am looking for. I know there are many places in London that provide these types of services but I am looking for locations in the US. I would so appreciate your guys help. Thanks! 2. The last image I posted was shot on portra 160 and was shot in manual mode. That is what I mean when I am speaking about the "shutter speed and exposure" I adjust the aperture first and adjust the shutter speed and exposure according to the correct indication that is in the viewfinder. Can you explain the "A" mode to me and how that works? I like to have control of my aperture because I am very picky about my DOF so I don't think shutter priority would be the setting I am looking for. what I am looking to do is to be able to control my aperture and to be able to rely on the camera's auto settings to adjust my shutter speed and exposure so that i am getting less grain and not have my images be underexposed.
 3. Here is one of the images I had an issue with. I shot it in manual mode and adjusted my shutter speed and exposure according to the meter that is within the prism and it came out very grainy and underpexosed.
 4. Ben! Thank you so much for the response. Let me give you some examples of my experience with the nikon f4. I have shot film for a while but have never used the Nikon systems before. I have always shot on my canon ae-1 so I feel a little out of touch with this camera. It is all new to me! The film I typically shoot on is fujfilm professional/superia and Kodak portra. when I load my film into the camera I will adjust the iso on the camera to the iso labeled on the film. Are you suggesting that I just place the iso setting on DX and that will automatically read the iso of my film loaded into the camera? And as far as shutter speed and exposure go do I just place the dial on "s" and I will be good to go? Then it will automatically adjust the shutter speed and exposure to the aperture that i have placed it on! Sorry if I am being confusing. Let me know if you need more clarity. I will provide sample images below to show you the issues I am having with on my camera.
 5. I am having some troubles with my Nikon F4. I am having problems with my images being underexposed. When shooting manual I set my aperture ring to where I want it and then I adjust my settings (shutter speed and exposure) according to the exposure meter that you see in the camera. Somehow my images area coming out underexposed and quite grainy. I tried using the autoexposure setting which I believe to get the camera to adjust your settings according to the aperture set is "A" but my images were coming out underexposed as well. If someone could give me a more thorough explanation of how to get a correct exposure and how to use the autoexposure settings and manual settings that would be great. I have tried looking at the manual but I am so confused and getting nowhere. I am pairing my camera with an ai lens so it is not an autofocus lens and that could possibly contributing to the issue.
 6.
Hi! I just recently purchased a Nikon F4 film camera along with a Nikon Nikkor-S Auto 50mm 1.4 Early Pre-AI lens. I am having a little trouble trying to figure out how to use the viewfinder. I am looking into the viewfinder but it is not giving me an ADR reading. So how am I supposed to know what aperture to set my lens at? I don't know if my viewfinder is broke and that is why it is not showing the ADR reading or if my lens is just so old that it does not provide that information for me. I have provided pictures in the link below. Im not sure if it is my lens that is the issue or if it's the viewfinder. I am just am so use to shooting on the cannon ae-1 and having my ideal aperture shown to me so this new camera is very new to me. Would I have to get a light meter to read that information for me? Or should I get a different lens? Or is there something wrong with my settings? Would love to get some help!
LINK:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/x53yun5g2lce2sv/AAC-icEqPf1NvSnDedQkc5Apa?dl=0

 7.
Hi everyone! I really love the colors and shadows that are in the link below. I have been trying to figure out what film this photographer is shooting on. I know it is 35mm for sure. I was thinking maybe kodak portra 400 or kodak portra 160 but some of these photos are too grainy and the shadows are more of a desaturated red or green while the portra's shadows are a blue. I was thinking maybe kodak colorplus 200? Would love to get your input.
LINK:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/k4a5w5gvfxr6edx/AAC5WV12HtRmPQwGco0M3ae8a?dl=0
