  1. I have always preferred holding a brush in my hand instead of a computer mouse or tablet brush. I'm one of the few remaining traditional retouchers and spotters. I love what I do. It's no longer a profession one would aspire to but if you're an analog photographer wanting to learn the techniques or you need a retoucher. Give me a shout.
  2. Giant crate, giant prints, giant retouch. Love them!
  3. Liked the contrast I found in the shadow of the larger Iris plant.
  4. Unique mix of Ansel Adams photographs on exhibit I attended.
  5. The finished retouch of a subject who had glasses glare. I have posted this AFTER and the BEFORE shots.
  6. Masked a photo of glasses glare to protect privacy of photographer & subject
  7. One of Ansel Adams Yosemite Special Edition Print examples
  8. I have been a traditional retoucher & spotter for the Ansel Adams Yosemite Special Edition prints since 1993. Because of the resurgence of film photography I found I was receiving more and more requests for HOW TO actually do this professionally. I continue to work for photographers across the country and abroad but I didn't want the art and science of traditional retouching and spotting to be lost. I hope to post some of my own photos but my focus is teaching analog photographers the techniques, skills and resources they will need to professionally finish their prints.
