1.
Hi everyone, I was recently looking into buying a Rolleiflex 2.8C Xenotar. The camera body is in wonderful condition, but I did notice that the taking lens has these yellow/white spots around the edges. The seller confirmed that there is no fungus or scratches, only stating that there is slight haze and these spots. Would anyone happen to know what they are, and if they would have much of an impact on image quality (the camera is a very good price - $480)? I included a picture, although it may be hard to see. Thanks!

 2.
Okay, I got it to work nicely. I completely forgot about that part. Thanks everyone!

 3.
Hi everyone, I recently bought a Beseler 23C with an 80mm el nikor lens. I was trying to enlarge prints for the first time, but I discovered that the image that the enlarger projects is circular, and not rectangular. So, when I place the negative (6x6 format), the corners are cut off like a really extreme vignette. Does anyone know what would cause this and how to fix it?
Thank you.

 4.
Hi everyone, I would like to start my own darkroom, and am having trouble finding an enlarger. I would like to enlarge 35mm, 6x6, and 6x7, all in B&W. So far, I have looked into Beseler 23C's and Omegas, but don't know which model would be best. There seem to be plenty of Beseler 23C II's (the black ones) on eBay, but sellers are either asking extremely high prices in addition to high shipping costs or only allow pick ups that are too far from me. When it comes to Omegas on eBay, I can't seem to find any models that enlarge up to 6x7. Craigslist is even more empty.
The only enlargers I have managed to find were a blue Beseler 23C, and a local Omega D2. The sellers say they are in very good condition, but should I trust enlargers as old as they are? Does anyone have recent experiences with either of these enlargers and would recommend them? Or are there any other good enlargers that would cover my needs and budget (~$150)?
Thank you.

 5.
Hi everyone, this is a very amateurish question, so let me apologize ahead. I have a 500cm and just ordered a 150mm CF along with it, which I plan on using for portraits. I like its tighter perspective over the 80mm, but when it comes to really tight head shots or just upper body, which extension tube should I get for the 150? I found either 10mm or 21mm tubes that are within my budget, and then there is the 16mm which is much more expensive. Which do you guys think is best?

 6. Thanks everyone, no I was not aware of the back's problems, as the camera was advertised on eBay as excellent +. Luckily, the lens and camera work flawlessly, and an acute matte screen was even provided. The seller is very kind and already gave me a partial refund to pay for repairs, so I'm not complaining. I just bought a new back on keh and will probably send my current one for repairs - it'll be nice to have two backs anyway. I think I'll buy the light seal from eBay. Are there any major risks in installing for a beginner like me?
 7.
I'm looking to buy a new A12 back after just purchasing a 500cm with a faulty back (no light seal, broken winder, missing springs). I found quite a lot at KEH for decent prices, an EX is $109 and EX+ is $139. They are only listed as Hasselblad Manual Focus A12. Are light leaks really that common with these backs, assuming they are decently old? Should I expect to budget in a light seal kit? Thank you.

 8.
Thank you everyone, I think I will just go with the P holder and Hitech filters. Lee is too expensive for me at the moment unfortunately.

 9.
Hi everyone, this isn't strictly a medium format question, but I have a Mamiya RB 50mm Sekor C, and would like to get ND filters for it for landscapes. I decided against screw filters since I would like grad filters, but am having trouble deciding which filters and holders. My budget is about $250, which can get me either Cokin Z or Hitech, and I also found a Zomei holder that is much cheaper than both. I would like to get a grad filter and one solid nd filter. My questions are:

How are Cokin filters image quality-wise? I read a couple reviews complaining about poor colors.

Do Hi-Tech filters have bad color shifting (if I got, say, a 8-10 stop solid nd filter)?

Does the quality of the filter holder really matter? Is the Cokin holder any better than the cheap Zomei one?

Is the 50mm Sekor considered wide enough to cause enough vignetting that I would have to buy a wide angle adapter for the holder?

Could I get away with an 85mmx85mm holder for the 50mm, or would I have to get the 100mmx100mm?

Thank you! Sorry for so many questions.

 10.
Thanks everyone for the responses. The two batteries I have are both genuine Leica ones, not off brand. Turns out the problem was with the circuit board, which Leica is willing to replace for free. So its nothing I'll complain about really :)

 11.
Hi everyone, I just have a quick question about my M8.2. It recently went to Leica NJ to repair a broken shutter, and when I received it it was perfect and working just fine. However, just a few days into use and the camera started turning off randomly and was unable to turn back on.

Now, every time I turn on the camera after either re-charging or replacing the battery, it takes between a half hour to an hour to turn back on. Strangely, once it turns on it works perfectly - I can even turn it back off as long as I don't re-charge or switch batteries.

So my question is, has this ever happened to anyone before? And would this be a problem relating to the batteries or the actual camera? I e-mailed Leica NJ a few times but they aren't responding, and I don't want to resend the camera in if I don't need to.

Thanks everyone!

 12.
Hi everyone, so I recently bought a Rolleicord III on ebay for $130, since it looked to be in good condition in the pictures and had a very good return policy. However, it was an estate sale find, so the owner wasn't making any guarantees, although he did tell me the shutter works. Anyway, now I got it, and I found that the shutter doesn't fire from 1/10 - 1/1, and that there seems to be mold in the taking lens. Other than that, there is no film spool and the screen is very dark, but I know I can simply buy replacements for them.

The question I have is whether I should just return it, or try to have it fixed. I figured about another $130 would go into fixing the shutter perhaps, and most Rolleicords I found in working condition on ebay were selling for over $250 anyways. Is this a good idea? If so, are there any good repairmen who would fix it in that cost? I live in NJ, but wouldn't mind mailing it. Or I could just return it and maybe find a better one. Thank you.
