1. I just posted a review comparing the Broncolor Siros S 800 and the Profoto D1 500... spoiler alert the Broncolor won... mostly because of the head design... although both of them are very goid systems. The review has samples and is quite long if you want to take a look..... Broncolor Siros 800 S v Profoto D1 500 AIR Review
 2. I have the 39" and found that it warms your light 700K, but I also found this is very common for modifiers and I have mixed several in the same shot with various warmths from 300-1300k and found it doesn't really matter, so I wrote a bog post about it.... Should photographers care about modifier color temperatures when shooting portraits?
 3. I have both the Profoto 5' and the Elionchrom 74" and I have found that I absolutely love the Elinchrom. So I wrote a blog post comparing all of the boxes I own and why. "If you were expecting a side-by-side head-to-head comparison of these modifiers, this review is not for you. Over the course of 10 or so years I have owned 6 different octaboxes made by Profoto, Elinchrom and Photoflex. I will discuss below why I changed horses midstream to arrive at where I am today and how I felt about using each modifier. Elinchrom vs Profoto: Why I Own Four Octaboxes"
 4. I have both a 46 and a 60 and I usually chose which side to use based o if it will fit in the room I am in or if outside, the wind. In a small space or on a windy day, I always use the 46. Although a 60" will do a better job lighting a group, if I could only have one, I would choose the 46. I wrote a full blog post with samples outlining my experience with the miraculous modifier! http://johngress.com/photek-softlighter-ii-umbrella/
 5.
I found using the dome increased contrast and the volume of light produced when using a beautydish. I also tested it verses an Acute head and found contrast, brightness and color temperature variances between the three heads, all of which I posed in this review:

http://johngress.com/does-using-a-profoto-glass-cover-d1-frosted-dome-or-a-acute-head-make-a-difference/
