1. Thank you, both, very much. I've never add audio to a video. I'm guessing it's somewhat self-explanatory in one of the video editing programs you've mentioned, Ed?
 2. Hello all, Hoping you are healthy and well. I'm new to video and trying to shoot some YouTube cooking videos for a friend. My first foray into this was full of autofocus motor noise and I don't see the camera having the ability to pause recording. My questions are: I think I should be using a hot-shoe mounted mic, Can you recommend one? It seems Rodes is most popular but there seem to be many lower cost options. To complicate matters, I will be engaging in some dialogue with the subject so I don't think a shotgun mike will pick both our voices up equally. Again, looking for advice and options. Do I have the ability to pause recording or must I make different clips and figure out how to splice them together later? Many thanks, John
 3. Hey. Yeah I posted his Facebook page for no good reason. Evidently his website lists the course here: http://michaelcrouser.com/information/workshops/
 4. I just wanted to share that I took an online class recently called Finding Your Voice as a Photographer and I really enjoyed it. It's an online class led by a professional photographer who shows the work of many well-known and significant photographers throughout the years. At the end of every class, you're given an assignment relative to what you just learned by viewing and discussing the work of those people. I really got a lot out of the class and think some of the course material really ought to be required viewing for any photographer look got get better at the craft. It's very interesting and the class moves quickly. This is the guy: Michael Crouser Photography
 5. Well, now I feel foolish. Thanks a bunch for the replies.
 6. Hi all, I shoot with a Nikon D750 and occasionally attach my battery grip for what ought to be increased ergonomics, though I find that to be a debatable feature. What I'm having trouble with is understanding the roles of the individual batteries in the camera and grip when the grip. When the MB-D16 is attached with a charged battery, does the camera run solely on that battery, ignoring the battery in the camera body? Or, is the battery charge indicator in the display averaging the two batteries together? Reading one? Reading the lesser-charged one? If one battery is dead (in the body or grip) must that one be removed from the equipment? Does the camera know to switch from one battery to the other? There is so little information included with grips. Thank you for any help you can give me to better understand the functionality of my grip and how it powers my camera body and lenses.
 7.
Hi,
So after over a year of shooting with both my 80-200 and my 24-70G, my 80-200/2.8ED lens won't mount to my D750. If I unlock the aperture ring and move it past 8 it will mount but I can't set the ring to f22. It won't move. I can't tell if this is a body or lens issue but I'm twisted over it.
Any help is appreciated. The 24-70 mounts fine as always.
Best to all,
Johnny Cataneo

 8.
My camera was knocked off a bed and seems to be shooting fine but the brackets are gone as well as any AF focus point indicator (the little rectangles).
Does anyone know how I can get this back or am in for a repair job?

Many thanks,
John
